1. Software Test Engineer Senior
Job Overview:
Define and execute test strategies for the software life cycle by implementing and
documenting quality assurance testing. Provides input in the development,
implementation and execution of software testing standards and guidelines to ensure that
the most basic product technical issues and integrity are fixed prior to release.
Responsibilities:
• Define testing requirements/objectives, and author test cases for highly complex
technical issues
• Track and analyze assigned projects, verify all are subjected to adequate levels of
testing prior to release, and report progress to management on a regular basis
• Test most complex parts of releases and builds
• Assist manager/Director with assigning workflow, creating test schedules, and
supervising testers
• Assist and lead other Test Engineers with highly complex issues on testing
approach, product design, product implementation, and other technical matters
• Participates with management in strategic planning for testing policies and
procedures
• Serve as communicator between cross-functional teams regarding project status,
process changes, and product capabilities
• Organize and may present internal and/or external training on testing issues
• Maintain and build on technical knowledge, product knowledge, and QA
methodology/ knowledge
• May provide on-site testing and trouble-shooting for clients
• Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
Education, Experience & Training required:
• BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience
• 5+ years experience in Software Testing or related field
• Ability to pass a background check
Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• In-depth understanding of software development process.
2. • Effective communications skills, focusing on presentation of technical
information.
• Must have expert knowledge of QA processes, tools and methodologies.
• Awareness of business issues and their impact on product development.
• 2+ years project lead experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective follow up systems to
ensure timely and accurate handling of information requests.
