manufacturing
Main Duties:
Act as Project Manager or assist Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute
projects from quotation to production
Develop effective tooling designs/specifications based on product application
requirements, product volume, and manufacturing capabilities.
Prepare timely quotations by:
o Listening to customers to understand their products and capture their
requirements.
o Analyzing customer products from drawings, sketches, and samples.
o Communicating with customers about product design and/or improvements.
Create usable drawings/solid models via SolidWorks from customer drawings, sketches,
and samples to develop tooling layouts.
Work with customers to develop thermoform friendly designs for new projects, including
any components for mounting, assembly, etc.
Review customer drawings/specifications and accept feasibility prior to quoting and/or
changes during the production process
Create supplemental drawings for customer drawings that are lacking critical information
for internal processes
Support bill of material/work instruction creation by providing necessary specifications.
Support Engineering Document Control Process (timeliness, effective usage, and
implementation of ECR's/ECN's)
Attend and/or participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
Must follow and participate in the Quality Management System (TS-16949/ISO 9001/ISO
14001) procedures.
Work with production to improve inefficiencies of approved tooling and processes.
