his paper stresses the importance of entrepreneurial university towards
improving sustainable job creation and improvement in Uganda. The
dilemmas the country is facing ranges from excessive poverty, graduate
unemployment; over dependence on overseas items and technology; as well
as low economic growth and development. These dilemmas are partly
triggered by using improper education system especially at the university
level. Many people argue that university education in Uganda is principally
for its very own sake – to impart knowledge and a love of getting to know
with greater paper qualifications. University training is for academic
superiority disconnected from day-to-day realities, a closed environment in
which information and intellect is the sanctuary of the self-selecting,
privileged few – no grasp of what is vital for ordinary people. Yet the fact of
university schooling is about helping humans grow in their lives by
supporting them to live better life. This paper hence contends that change of
universities in Uganda, from ivory tower to entrepreneurial universities, will
prepare the students with the conduct, states of mind and attitudes with which
to be self-reliant and contribute to job creation and advancement. The paper
starts by highlighting the concept of university as an ivory tower. The
objectives and framework for designing entrepreneurial university is
presented next. The paper suggests that university programmes at all levels
of instruction ought to be made significant to the community so as to supply
the youth with the required entrepreneurial aptitude.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

Vice Chancellor’s Message
I take great pleasure in welcoming you to O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). Our vision is to
promote global education across different disciplines. In addition to the Jindal Global Business
School (JGBS), JGU has also established the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and the Jindal
School of International Affairs (JSIA).
In the last year, JGU has witnessed remarkable developments relating to teaching, research and
institution building. JGU has forged a number of international collaborations and has played
a pivotal role in organizing seminars, lectures, and conferences on major issues related to law,
society and business. The establishment of JGBS is an important milestone in the history of JGU.
The interconnectedness of the study of business and law and the opportunity of faculty from
JGLS and JGBS interacting with each other is a unique feature of education at JGU.
The vision of JGBS is to promote multi-disciplinary global business
education with a view to creating knowledge and contributing to
interaction between academia, business and industry.
The faculty and research centres of JGBS are engaged in research that will help address some
of the major issues that are affecting the business world. Given the multi-faculty nature of JGU
with the three schools interacting with each other, there are great opportunities for students to
benefit. There are opportunities for student to cross register courses and participate in seminars
on issues that have broader significance.
I would encourage you to read this brochure. I sincerely hope that you visit our campus and
interact with our faculty to know more about our courses and programmes.

Vice Dean’s Message
We are here to help you prepare to meet the global business and leadership challenges of tomorrow.
We are a school with a ‘geocentric’ 21st century approach (as opposed to an ‘ethnocentric’ 20th
century approach) to management education today. Much of the ‘knowledge creation’ at JGBS
takes place in the classroom, through concentrated interaction between our faculty - who are well-
grounded in both research and practice - and our graduate students who are refining, redefining,
upgrading, and recreating their skills in management, careers, and professional lives.
In today’s world where “you can Google knowledge”, you cannot “Google”
good judgement, wisdom, creativity and innovation, leadership,
communication skills, team-working abilities, or the values underlying
ethical decision-making.
Tolerance for ambiguity, embracing diversity of thought and culture - these are not learnt on the
Internet. They are learnt through extensive practice and the application of sound principles that
rest on strong, tested, conceptual foundations. This is the kind of leader for tomorrow whom we
are trying to prepare today at JGBS; where learning to lead in the right way at the right time in
the right place, is not a skill which is learned quickly and lightly through memory tests; where
good teamwork is a skill acquired and developed through extensive practice and continuous
improvement throughout our two years’ intensive, rigorous MBA and MBL curriculum.
Our students are consciously taught to take a global perspective in their management thinking
through their work with case studies and internationally experienced professors, in applied
research projects, and in their “Action Learning” programmes which are the capstones to their
degree. These key learning components, reinforce and dovetail with their two-month internships
at leading companies, upon completion of their core courses, and prior to final placement at the
end of the second year.

Vice Dean, JGBS

Inspired Learning
Business education is witnessing a shift from conventional to innovative
learning.
Increasingly, students need to be trained in real life situations which enable
them to effectively respond to business issues. In this scenario, there is an
increasing emphasis on work experience prior to postgraduate studies, and
sharing past knowledge to help chart a road map for the future of business.
In addition, inter-cultural and cross-cultural understanding has become an
important component in a global manager’s profile.
Today’s business education, therefore, should enable students to:
• Deal with issues and ideas that are important for business value creation and
development
• Develop skills and competencies that go beyond theoretical knowledge
• Make their education relevant to the emerging global business paradigm.
The objective of our post graduate programmes is to create not just excellent
managers, but also to instill the spirit of entrepreneurship so that they can
evolve into leaders and wealth creators in years to come.
The Management programmes at JGBS are among the most rigorous in the
country and are designed to give students a global management perspective
through a unique pedagogy of learning and interaction among peers in a
modular format. Activities like live projects, field assignments, and simulation
games form an integral part of the programmes.
The programmes incorporate industry internships with an in-
depth dissertation requirement to achieve holistic learning
and a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary
business environment.

Master of Business & Law (MBL)
A programme for working executives, the MBL combines the interdisciplinary
strengths of the Business School (JGBS) and the Law School (JGLS). It helps
develop critical skills that empower the student to make decisions based on
knowledge; appreciate the complexity of global civil society; and develop
multiple perspectives to gain mastery of the economic, political, and social
dimensions of Business and Law.
The degree provides a comparative advantage to three constituencies:
1) Business professionals who appreciate that a sound understanding of law is
fundamental to their career advancement.
2) Professionals in the legal domain who wish to gain a better understanding of
the practice of good management – defined as planning, organizing, leading,
and controlling.
3) Experienced managers and professionals – for example in medicine and
health care, public administration, the accountancy profession, actuaries,
business journalists, engineers, and consultants – who wish to build stronger
foundations in business and management whilst gaining an understanding of
the key elements in law as it relates to business, in India as well as in the global
context.
The MBL is a 27-months weekends-only programme. Each weekend session
comprises two classes per day of three hours each. Students are required to
attend classes on two consecutive weekends each month at the state-of-the-
art campus of O.P Jindal Global University at Sonipat, Haryana. The university
arranges transport from New Delhi for these classes.
The aim of a JGU education is to “ Imagine , Innovate and Integrate”. JGBS post-graduate programmes focus on
developing a global perspective to business, management, and leadership, in the context of a multi-disciplinary
global University combining the strengths of three professional schools.
