This is a magazine advert I particularly chose to
analyse as its quite unique and it will give me
ideas as to how I will create my magazine advert.

The album cover starts off with a large centred
image of Jessie J, which is quite significant as it
shows the audience that she is the main focus
and also shows her character, her facial
expressions and body language.

Jessie’s overall body language shows that she is
bold, fierce and not afraid to express herself, we
can see this as she's got her hands near her head
and her fists are tightly clenched together. The
way she is posed may suggest to the audience as
though she's is trying to break out of the advert,
and defy the normal conventions of typical pop
genre.
Jessie is wearing black nail varnish, which is
quite feminine however the black colour may
portray her as having a dark side to her which
people don’t know about.

The lip colour is also black which may also
suggest that she's has a bold and an energetic
personality and is not scared to create her own
look and be unique.

In the image Jessie as her mouth open like
she's about to say something but cant, this
may be quite significant as she expresses her
views and opinions through her music and not
through her words.

Jessie J’s eye makeup is quite sultry, feminine
and romantic, this may suggest that she has
different sides to her e.g. a bold personality
and a soft warm hearted personality.
The colours used throughout the whole advert are
gold's and blacks which stand out more than the
white text as its more eye-catching. The name
Jessie J is written in metallic gold, which gives the
advert a classic, quirky and unique look. The font
of her name suggest as that she has signed the
advert which gives it a personal feel and this will
make the audience feel that if they buy the album
it as Jessie's mark on it, which is important for the
artist as they are more likely to have consumers
who will buy the artists next album or song etc.

The name of the album ‘”Who You Are” suggests
to the audience to be happy with the way you look
,who you are and not to be afraid of the challenges
life throws at you. This quote or title suggests that
the artists songs has strong meanings which
people need to understand to get to know her
better.
There are other additional information
such as the N0 1 international
featuring the artist ( B.O.B ), this is a
good clear information to have as it
shows that her album has been very
successful, this is vital for consumers as
they are looking for artist who have
made their mark in the music industry

  The magazine advert has the
  artist official website, which is
important for her fans to find out
what the artist is up to and find
out if they are doing any tours.
The magazine has two different
logos of record labels, lava
records which is owned by
Universal Republic, adding
those logos their promotes the
record label and shows what
label Jessie J is signed to.
