• Dahmer’s first murder occurred just after graduating high school, in
June 1978, when he picked up a hitchhiker named Steven Hicks and
took him home to his parents' house. Dahmer proceeded to get the
young man drunk.
• Dahmer said “steven wanted to leave, and I didn't want him to.“
• Dahmer killed him by striking him in the head and strangling him with
a barbell.
• Dahmer dismembered the corpse of his first victim, packed the body
parts in plastic bags and buried them behind his parents' home.
• He later the crushed the bones with a sledgehammer and scattered
them across a wooded ravine.
7. • He also began developing fantasies of total control over his sex
partners, especially if they were unconscious. This paraphilia would
prove to be his undoing.
• Jeffrey was arrested in 1982 for exposing his genitals to children. He
served some time, was released, and drifted between odd jobs, never
fitting in and feeling an intense, gaping loneliness that consumed
him.
• He committed his first murder in 1987. It would be nine years until his
next, and at that point his inner monster was unleashed.
8. SECOND MURDER
• Dahmer’s father sent him to Army but discharged due to
drinking problem and sent him to live with his grandmother
• After shifting he started reading pornography in the library
• Bathhouses and Gay club--- ‘relaxing place’
• September 1987 Dahmer took his second victim, Steven
Tuomi. They checked into a hotel room and drank, and
Dahmer eventually awoke to find Tuomi dead.
• He bought a large suitcase to transport Tuomi's body to his
grandmother's basement, where he dismembered and
masturbated on the corpse before disposing of the remains.
• But Dahmer alleged that it was never intentional and he had
no memory of it.
9. • James Doxtator :Strangulation … dismembered, head boiled, then pulverized.
Doxtator was a 14-year-old Native American male hustler Dahmer enticed back to
his apartment in exchange for $50 to pose for nudes. At Dahmer’s place, they had
sex, then Dahmer drugged him and strangled him to death.
• After his third murder, killing became his habit.
• Dahmer slowly became skilled in killing and luring men to have sexually involved
with him.
• He started keeping head and genitals as trophies and bones as ornaments.
• Holes drilled into skull, hydrochloric acid injected into brain in an attempt to turn
them into a “zombie.”
• He later tried to inject boiling water in the skull of one of his victims, which sent
him to the coma. He died two days later. Dahmer says this is his only victim to
die with his eyes open.
10. POLOROIDS & CANNIBALISM
• After killing the victims or when they are unconscious Dahmer was addicted to take
photos of their naked body parts.
• Storing Photos of the victims to keep remembering them to look at their physical beauty
“If I could not keep them with me at least I can keep their
skeleton and other body parts”
• Eating of heart and heart muscles that way he felt they were the part of him.

11. LAST VICTIM ESCAPE AND
DAHMER,S DEATH:
• TRACEY EDWARDS “he was listening to my heart beats and he
told me that he’s gonna eat my heart, then I hit him and ran
away”.
• CHIRTOPHER SCERVER “some people who are in prison are
repentant-but he was not one of them”
12.
13. • Borderline Personality Disorder – This means that people who experience BPD feel
emotions intensely and for extended periods of time, and it is harder for them to return
to a stable baseline after an emotionally triggering event. As evidenced by his extreme
urge to keep his lovers with him permanently. That’s why he killed them, because he
didn’t want them to leave.
• Schizotypal Personality Disorder - Magical thinking. and weird sensory experiences. He
thought he could create zombies by injecting acid into people’s brains, he wanted to
build an alter dedicated to himself made out of skulls, he blacked out totally for one of his
murders, he liked talking to dead people and thought that eating parts of them would
make them a part of him permanently.
• Necrophilia: sexual intercourse with or attraction towards corpses.
• Antisocial personality disorder: Antisocial personality disorder is a mental health
condition in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or
violating the rights of others. This behavior is often criminal.
• Obsessive compulsive disorder - he went through the same lengthy dismemberment
and dissolving procedure for every victim, even when it was getting impractical and too
expensive.
PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS
14. • BOWLBY THEORY OF MATERNAL DEPRIVATION: Early separation of
the child from his mother prevents effective social development from
taking place. Without effective social development children will
develop long term problems in developing positive social
relationships and will instead develop antisocial behavior pattern.
• GOTTFREDSON AND HIRSCHI’S GENERAL THEORY OF CRIME: Low
self control, internalized early in life, in the presence of criminal
opportunities explains an individual’s propensity to commit crimes.
