1. POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Pricing Officer/ Analyst
REPORTING TO: Pricing Supervisor
LOCATION: Lane Cove
POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the commercial business in
all aspects of maintaining customers pricing and databases by ensuring the prompt and
accurate inputting and review of all pricing requirements.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Pricing:
Enter and maintain Pricing Database within Pronto
Verify Special Prices ensuring appropriate approval process has occurred.
Ensure all necessary list prices, discount codes, tax codes and quantity level
breaks for new products are accurately entered.
Price reconciliations and investigations relating to Credits Claims
Dealing with internal and external customer inquiries in a professional & timely
manner.
Work together with the Sales team to ensure that price changes are effectively
communicated to key customers.
Department filing
Ensure list prices, special prices and contract prices for product substitutions are
accurately managed.
Conduct periodic pricing reviews and analysis
Completion of daily and ad hoc reports
Liaise with Sales and Product Managers to provide accurate sales information to
assist Sales in negotiating agreements.
Create price reports for customers.
Actioning / checking New Product pricing set up forms
Assisting the Contracts Dept to ensure our databases in terms of Contracts,
PPAs records, databases and pricing are maintained in an accurate fashion.
Necessary Attributes:
Proven ability of being able to accurately cross reference new data with old data and
update where required; this could involve cross checking of up to 6000 lines of data
at a time.
Proven ability to accurately input both numerical and alpha data into an Excel
spreadsheet, database or ERP system, and thereby ensure that all information held
within the relevant system is always current.
Strong analytical skills; ability to review and change multi-tiered pricing structures.
2. Construction and accuracy checking of complex reports for various activities,
including compliance reviews.
Proven ability to manage a customer query from inception to completion in an
effective and timely manner. Customers must always know what is happening with
the resolution of their query and be ensured that it is being managing and to what
deadlines.
Ability to work within a strong process orientated function.
Mature working style.
Demonstrated ability to pick processes up quickly while maintaining a high attention
to detail
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Previous experience with Pricing within an ERP System.
Proven experience in managing multiple deadlines and priorities
Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
Demonstrated time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Multi-tasking, flexibility and the ability to cope with high customer demands.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
