ROLE PURPOSE
The position is responsible for planning & execution of the Capability building & learning & Development activities for
the circle. It is responsible for providing effective training & development support to the business. The position also
has one reporting of employee engagement role.
ESSENCE OF ROLE- Key Accountabilities

TNA : Facilitate annual TNA exercise using inputs from
· Performance Management System
· Business Objectives
· Function wise need analysis
and identify functional & behavioral development needs of the
circle
The role holder is responsible of identifying the
training needs for the organization, functions &
individuals, evaluating it against the business
needs and planning the training calendar their
after. The needs are in form of functional or
behavioral inputs.

Drive L&D Strategy: Create the L&D plan for the circle in
alignment with Corporate L&D strategy with implementation
plans, Monthly training calendars, and measures for training
effectiveness.
Basis the training needs identified, planning the L
& D interventions for the year in line with the
corporate programs & guidelines.

New hire Integration: Manage the induction for new hires,
trainees and management trainees through their first 6 months
lifecycle.
Ensuring that all the new hires undergo the On-
boarding, On your Marks & Cross Functional
induction or Role based induction as per the
National Induction Policy. Hand holding of trainees
for the first 6 months.
4 Capability Building
Taking the organizational capability building
initiatives and creating platforms for learning to
happen at the workplace.
5 Projects / initiatives
Participating in the national projects &
implementing the national projects at circle level.
TYPICAL OUTPUTS
1) Conduct training need identification & analysis
2) Partnering with business & individuals to focus on all round development
3) Managing the training function
4) Administering the Training programs
5) Evaluation of the effectiveness of the training interventions

1. V talk-release on monthly basis
2. Coffee with COO-on a monthly basis
3. Organizing Open houses across all locations once every quarter
4. Idea Factory
2 Reward & Recognition
1. Driving Super SSTar,SSTar of the month regularly and have maximum
penetration.
2. Drive other R&R initiatives like YMAD,Zonathon, Global heroes, long term
service awards.
3 Vodafone People Survey
1. Facilitate the survey rollout, drive participation
2. Design & roll out circle level initiatives.
3. Facilitate Action planning & track progress for all people managers.
4 Excite Events
1. Organizing excite events on regular basis.
2. Have zonal participation in excite events.
3. Organizing zonathon on quarterly basis.
5 OD interventions
1. Facilitate the rollout of all corporate initiatives.
