• Supervised the day to day activities of the Steam/Heat, Galley Maintenance, Outside Repair and
Catapult work centers, Leading 53 mechanic/technicians in daily preventative and corrective
maintenance procedures.
• Equipment which responsible, 4 “600 psi” Catapult pressure vessels and its associated equipment, 5
reefers, 10 364 ton A/C units, 7 galleys worth of equipment, high pressure and low pressure air
systems, Potable water system, 12 close coupled fire pumps, 42 on demand hot water heaters and all
of the laundry plant equipment.
• Harry S. Truman’s Automatic boiler controls technician.
• Established a training program to ensure proficiency of the sailors under my lead.
• Completed a 4 Boiler recertification that normally takes 1 year in under 3 months, supervising the
corrections to 246 discrepancies and 82 repair before operating items with only the 10 personnel
from the Cat shop.
