INTRODUCTION
 AMR MULTIPLEXED METER is a single Micro
controller based energy meter that measures the
power consumption of number of metering points,
and transmit the data to the Server through a wireless
network

 Multiplex metering (up to 8 metering)
 Remotely monitored via GPRS/GSM services
 Data logging is done on the SD Card

METERING CARD
 Shunt resistors to measure current
 Varistors for voltage protection

METERING CARD
 A total of eight metering cards are stacked on the
mother board.
 Reading is recorded at each metering card via polling
and the cycle continues.
 SPI is used to communicate between the controller
and the metering card.

Some Rules to Remember while making the
PCB Layouts
 The angle of wiring should never be 90°
 Number of VIAS should be as less as possible
 Setting the proper width of the wires
 The area of the PCB board should be as less as possible

LEARNINGS & CONCLUSION
 Understanding the basics of programming of Stellaris
Microcontroller was a difficult task as I was not
familiar with it.
 Practical knowledge of the industrial microcontroller
would be very helpful for me.
 Learning PCB designing in limited time was a
challenging task.
 The tasks assigned gave me an insight that theoretical
knowledge and industrial applications are interlinked.

LEARNINGS & CONCLUSION
 Through this Internship, I learned to Implement
theoretical concepts on the practical professional
projects.
 I not only gained a lot of major knowledge but more
