The G-Cans Project is a massive underground waterway and sewer system in Tokyo designed to prevent overflow of rivers and waterways during rainy seasons and typhoons. The system includes five large 32-meter diameter concrete containment silos connected by 64 kilometers of tunnel located 50 meters beneath the surface. Powerful turbines can pump 200 tons of water per second from the tunnels into the nearby Edogawa river.

This guy says "64 kms", but according to the info shown on the official site it's only 6,3 km. The project is located in the northern suburbs of Tokyo in Saitama prefecture.
