Lakeland School District is ranked the #1 district in the state of Idaho. On statewide SAT exams, Lakeland students scored higher on average than those in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls. New safety measures are being implemented in 5 elementary schools, while a new math textbook will be adopted for the upcoming school year. The district's strategic plan can be found on their website and was created with input from various community stakeholders. Standardized test results will help guide curriculum and instructional changes for the following year.

5. On April 16, 2014 every junior across the
state took the SAT. The results as reported
by the CdA Press were:
• Lakeland ~ 1434
• Coeur d’Alene ~ 1420
• Post Falls ~ 1406

6. New safety measures are being
implemented this week in 5 of
our elementary schools. BKE
piloted the measures last spring
and is already operational.

7. A new math textbook will be
adopted for the 2014-15
school year.

8. STRIVE teacher, Laura Spurway, actively
seeking grants to fund this STEM
classroom that will be available to all
students.
