and D375A-3 Komatsu Dozers. Commission machines and training operators.
Attached with Debswana Letlhakane Mine from January 1999 to May 1999 to repair
and maintain 773Bs, 789Bs and 992Cs.
Attached with Debswana-Orapa Mine from December 1998 to January 1999 assemble
four (4) 789Bs.
Attached with Debswana- Jwaneng Mine on RM, CAT wheel loaders (994Cs) and
dumps. Including assembling four (4) 789Bs Trucks.
Attached to Debswana –Letlhakane Mine 1998 attend to breakdowns and carry out
maintenance and repairs on 773Bs Large off Highway trucks and 992Cs wheel loaders.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR-ONE STOP SHOP
Supervisor service crew (32) in number on One Stop Shop (OSS).This workshop is the
backbone of Maintenance Section. Fifty two (52) 930E-4 Komatsu electrical driven
trucks pass thru OSS in 24/7 circle for inspection and lubrication top ups. My service
crew inspect machines and hand over both their checklists and operators ‘checklists to
me so that I can scrutinize defects and log defects on backlog format I created, then

send backlog to Main workshop for execution and to Planning Department for
planning. When a machine goes for PMS already backlog spares and oil analysis reports
are with Main Workshop from OSS. I had initiated a backlog sheet which helps to trace
parts ordering and tasks excucation.With my set up at One Stop Shop I had increased
machines availability from 79% to 96%.
Carry out minor repairs and troubleshooting which takes less than an hour. Responsible
of fifty-two (52) 930E-4 GE Electric Drive Trucks.
Supervising both Komatsu and Cummins artisans on site and PSDs. And held planning
meeting (weekly) with planning department and Komatsu to follow up parts ordered.
Send a report every morning to Load & Haul superintendents, Production manager,
Maintenance Superintendent and Senior Maintenance Superintendent on OSS 24hrs
operation.
Responsible of upgrading service crew by organising in-house training and HSHE
courses.
Handling discipline in work place.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide technical and parts support to the customers through regular visits,
thereby building a relationship with the customers which could result in further
sales of equipment.
To provide safety to workshop staff. Open and close jobs in SAP. Workshop
Foreman duties included managing maintenance crew both on Filed service and
Mining in their duties to ensure that tasks are completed to satisfactory standard
and in a short time, thus minimizing downtime on customer’s machines.
Make follow up after mechanics had done service or repairs on customer’s
machines, by calling customers (courtesy calls) to improve
customer’relationship.Advise customers if there are repairs outstanding.
Responsible for keeping of machines history files and population register
Carry out machines inspection and present reports to customers with
recommendation of action to be taken.
Provide technical and parts assistance to customers.
Managing contracts sub contracted to Komatsu Botswana.
Responsible for Komatsu equipment of about two (200) units in the northern
part of Botswana.
