• Manage budget linked to maintenance and operational forecast. Opex and Capex yearly budgets and
planning.
• Supervise and assisting with monthly, weekly and major shut downs.
• Manage the Environmental, Health and Safety procedures, implementation of all EHS procedures
and policies. Ensures risk assessments are done as per Standing Operating Procedures.
• Accountable for Isolation and lockout procedures and implementation of all safety rules. Monthly
Nosa inspection audits and maintaining of Nosa 4 star files.
• Supervise the Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation and all Engineering shift supervisors
• Improved plant availability by improving preventative maintenance and shut downs by optimizing
maintenance and reducing downtimes.
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly engineering reports on availability, downtimes and shuts.
• Planning of long term maintenance, shut work and equipment change outs.
• Motivate, lead and evaluate subordinates through their goals and activities. Co-ordinate and

• Planning and calculate pump positions at shore services for boosters and slimes pumps
• Manage the process control by monitoring, flowmeters, and densitometers, water level control,
digital pressure switches, and high bin alarms, buoyancy of 400T floating plant, Telemetering of
Tails, concentrate and water boosters. Pressure speed with high and low set point control.
• Analyzing and fault finding on pump trends.
• Managing of 22KV overhead High Tension power lines to plant, boosters and pump stations.
• Planning and maintaining the overhead High Tension line. Due to the floating moving plant upfront
planning needs to be done 4 months in advance.
• Supervise the maintenance of alternating current variable speed control drives from 200Kw up to
800Kw.
• Managing the power supply to dry mining, the planning of future moves and preventative
maintenance.
• Manage the maintenance and shuts of the dry mining plant that includes, 2 x hoppers, 9m and 24m
conveyors, slurry bin, slurry pump and jet water feed pump. There are 6 off 14/12 Warman slurry
boosters in series which are gearbox driven by 800Kw and 400Kw motors.
• Responsible for Root Cause Analysis and actions plans.
