PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2014 – 2015: VALE MOZAMBIQUE
Position: Trainee Engineer (Commissioning Engineer) in Moatize Expansion Project in Tete (Coal
Handling and Process Plant).
Main activities:
 Commissioning Engineering:
 Reading, interpretation and demarcation of engineering drawings (P & ID - flow charts
and engineering PDF - process flow diagram).
 Analyze, comment on and approve technical documents of Commissioning (procedures
and tests protocols, marked drawings).
 Field Commissioning:
 Accompaniment of quality control inspections, which include: torquing, leveling and
alignment of equipment and structures, cables and motors windings insulation testing.
Monitoring the installation of pumps in water supply system. Monitoring the installation
of substations.
 Accompaniment of energization of the equipment in the pre-commissioning phase
where: participated in the motor rotation checks, fiber communication tests, analog and
digital instrumentation loops tests, tests on hydraulic unit and lubrication system.

2.  Commissioning Phase: took part in the no-load tests in feeder, roller crusher; testing of
pumps in water supply system, consisting of verification of the operating parameters of
the equipment, both mechanical and electrical (vibration, temperature, current, voltage,
noise). Participated at energization of substations and motor control center.
2014 (May to July): SIR Motors.
Position: Safety technician
Main activities: analysis and mitigation of risks in order to ensure safety on the company
installations, ensure the proper functioning of the vehicles of the company and other work
equipment. Ensure the correct use of PPE by employees.
2013 – 2014 (September to February): Mozambique Railways
Position: Trainee
Main activities: Maintenance of locomotives, which covers activities
 Diesel engine repair (repair and calibration of injectors, replacement of the shirts of the
cylinders) and diesel engine power tests.
 Repair of the compressed air system (cleaning and repair of valves, brake setup).
 Repair of DC traction motors (exchange of damaged windings and bronze covers), starter
motors, and engines of oil pumps.
 Lubrication system: cleaning and repair of valves of the system, lubrication of the gears for
wheelsets and traction motors, air compressor lubrication and oil supply in the crankcase of
diesel engine.
