ABAE HOTEL
N A M I N G / LO G O / B R A N D I N G
C H A L L E N G E :
The Domus Group, developers of a new condo
hotel at 1215 West Avenue, in the internationally
renowned South Beach district of Miami, FL,
needed a name for the project, a tagline and
logo. They wanted it to match their forward
leaning design and build approach. The client
wanted the feel to be “ultra modern” and very
distinctive, reflecting the advanced “technology”
component of the property: state of the art
computer systems, security, door, reservation
system and more.
S O L U T I O N :
The name we proposed that the client decided
on, ABAE, is a “coded” letter combination that
matches the address, 1215, creating an aura of
exclusive mystery with an almost Asian tinge. The
tagline that we matched perfectly with this was,
“We’ve Cracked the Code to Comfort & Glamour.”
This custom font, and corresponding numbers,
have a sleek but edgy feel that is both cryptic
and utterly distinct. The font’s clean, rounded
edges imply elegance and modern style, with the
name partially “eclipsed” in a strongly graphic
black and white palette.

C H A L L E N G E :
We were approached by BKR, a San Francisco-based
company featuring a water bottle encased in a
Pop-colored silicone sleeve, for a startup website.
S O L U T I O N :
We delivered a clean, unique and engaging website with
an easy-to-use front end that reflected the target market:
what they call the “it” girl. All designs had to be simple,
chic, colorful, and always on trend. New colors come out
every season, so the collateral had to stay on brand but
reflect changes.

BRASSERIE

C H A L L E N G E :
The Menin Group’s new Bakehouse Brasserie in
Miami’s hip South Beach neighborhood, needed
a great logo and branding strategy to help them
stand out in a crowded restaurant field. The owners
asked for a look inspired by the Wes Anderson
movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. The result was
an interpretation of a classic French cafe with a
modern and whimsical approach.
S O L U T I O N :
We created a clean, bold logo, consisting of
an emphatic typeface with hand drawn assets
that was ornate and clean at the same time. It
worked on all their different collateral to lend a
sophisticated but welcoming neighborhood flair
to this French-themed restaurant. We also created
illustrations of restaurant icons to help support
the main identity. They can be seen on all the
supporting collateral from menus, bags and boxes.
A refined palette of dark grey and gold foil were
selected to help push the high end and exciting
new look of the Menin Hospitality establishment.

To create a logo for a Miami luxury Real Estate firm
specializing in million-dollar properties on the Venetian
Causeway in Miami Beach.
S O L U T I O N :
The goal was to have the elegant “C” we created anchor
the brand and establish the business’s unique identity.
Through multiple iterations we created the new icon and
nameplate. With the use of the graphic, customized “C”
— along with the colors, supporting fonts, and imagery —
their identity lets its potential customers know what they
really stand for: great service and high-end real estate.

TAMIS FUNCTIONAL
PILATES

C H A L L E N G E :
The care and maintenance of our bodies can be thought
of as one of today’s “hottest trends,” and the Pilates
toning and flexibility system is one of the most popular of
all. The Sunset Harbor, Florida Pilates studio of Amanda
Tamis needed just the right logo, and accompanying
website, to brand her as one of Miami metro ‘s go-to
places for physical fitness, with an edge.
S O L U T I O N :
A playful, geometric deconstruction of the “m” in the name
Tamis became the focal point of the logo we designed,
with the idea that it could be separated and stand alone
as an icon as well. It’s sleek, contemporary and eye
catching, suitable for use on business cards to branded
water bottles. The logo suggests motion and speed, an
angled body working out well-exercised muscles.

EDDIE IRVINE HOMES

Jacober Creative was hired by former Formula One driver
Eddie Irvine to brand his growing real estate investment
company, Eddie Irvine Homes. Mr. Irvine needed a unifying
look for his expanding international portfolio that was at
once elegant and modern.
S O L U T I O N :
We responded to his request by creating a stacked
typographic logo in a classic Bodoni font that
incorporates his cool and sophisticated sensibilities.
The new look works perfectly as an emblem on apparel,
supporting marketing material and signage.

Jugofresh is a local staple all over Miami. Almost
everyone frequents the store, buys the products
knows the company. We’re thankful to have been
able to push this brand where it’s going today.
C H A L L E N G E :
The fresh juice industry is highly competitive, so we
set out to create and develop a brand that stands
out from the competition. Our approach was
something bold and edgy yet always commercial,
memorable and approachable.
S O L U T I O N :
We delivered a new identity package, a logo and
supporting collateral along with an online identity.
We married the “J” and the “F” into one circular
icon that plays well on everything.

POINT FOUNDATION

C H A L L E N G E :
A redesign and layout of a 40-page Annual Report was the
challenge we were presented with for the Point Foundation,
the National LGBTQ Scholarship Fund. We didn’t want to put
the spotlight on a letter from the CEO, or facts and figures
that just focused on finances and personnel. We wanted the
look for the report we produced for Point to visually
elevate the organization with a different take on corporate
communications.

We took the current branding and offered up a new, fresh and
a unique look while also staying on- brand for the organization.

TROPICALIA
CISNEROS FOUNDATION
A N N U A L R E P O R T /

C H A L L E N G E :
The Cisneros foundation designs and implements
programs for education, the environment,
productivity, and wellbeing and culture in the
Dominican Republic, as part of the efforts of the
Tropicalia sustainable tourism and real estate
development of Cisneros Real Estate. We delivered
a well designed, magazine-style, glossy report
covering their work for 2014.
S O L U T I O N :
We created clean editorial layouts, using full
bleed color photographs, beautifully designed
info graphics, and strong typography. We feel
pacing is incredibly important in any magazine,
so we used a structured flat-plan with section
breaks that helped the flow, allowing the content
to breath and letting the reader know where he
or she is in the publication. We recommended a
coated, matte paper with a smooth silk feel, which
gave the report a classy look and feel.

RUNWAY RESORT

C H A L L E N G E :
Former South Beach promoter Alan Roth has joined forces
with Lauren Abrams, previous owner of Islamorada’s
Casa Morada, and Ian Schrager alum Robert Todak, to
create the spanking new-but-retro Runway Resorts,
which is opening its first boutique property in downtown
Hollywood, Florida. The hotel aims to capture the 1960s
vibe of the existing low rise neighborhoods, and update
it with a modern sensibility and a contemporary standard
of service. Jacober Creative was brought on board to
develop a logo and brand architecture that could carry
the new company into the future as more properties are
added to their portfolio.
S O L U T I O N :
The logo we created reflects a fun 1960s sensibility that
can bring back memories of Vegas, Sinatra, martinis and
Playboy bunnies. It is distinctive, catchy and perfectly
attuned to the owners’ concept of retro-meets-modern,
working in different contexts and with different palettes.
We created a beautiful hand drawn font that not only
captured the unique feel of the hotel but also the sensibility
of the intended ’60s era. The Runway Resort logo was
then carried through in signage, apparel, stationary and
on-property branding.

SURFSIDE, FL

C H A L L E N G E :
The Town of Surfside came to us in need of a
brand new look and marketing campaign to
reignite the interest of families and tourists in the
beach-side city. 
S O L U T I O N :
Our concept was aimed at building the visibility
of the charming town nestled between Miami
and Bal Harbour, and thus “Simply Surfside” was
created. The intent was to say something simple
about the unique and inviting elements of the
town. A catch phrase was needed that was easy
to retain and very memorable. “Simply Surfside”
was the umbrella concept, with additional
slogans branching off from there: “Simply
Delicious,” “Simply Special,” “Simply Effortless”
and “Simply...A Great Getaway.”

ABAE HOTEL N A M I N G / LO G O / B R A N D I N G C H A L L E N G E : The Domus Group, developers of a new condo hotel at 1215 West Avenue, in the internationally renowned South Beach district of Miami, FL, needed a name for the project, a tagline and logo. They wanted it to match their forward leaning design and build approach. The client wanted the feel to be “ultra modern” and very distinctive, reflecting the advanced “technology” component of the property: state of the art computer systems, security, door, reservation system and more. S O L U T I O N : The name we proposed that the client decided on, ABAE, is a “coded” letter combination that matches the address, 1215, creating an aura of exclusive mystery with an almost Asian tinge. The tagline that we matched perfectly with this was, “We’ve Cracked the Code to Comfort & Glamour.” This custom font, and corresponding numbers, have a sleek but edgy feel that is both cryptic and utterly distinct. The font’s clean, rounded edges imply elegance and modern style, with the name partially “eclipsed” in a strongly graphic black and white palette. BKR PAC K AG I N G / W E B D E S I G N / E - C O M M E R C E C H A L L E N G E : We were approached by BKR, a San Francisco-based company featuring a water bottle encased in a Pop-colored silicone sleeve, for a startup website. S O L U T I O N : We delivered a clean, unique and engaging website with an easy-to-use front end that reflected the target market: what they call the “it” girl. All designs had to be simple, chic, colorful, and always on trend. New colors come out every season, so the collateral had to stay on brand but reflect changes. BAKEHOUSE BRASSERIE LO G O / B R A N D I D E N T I T Y C H A L L E N G E : The Menin Group’s new Bakehouse Brasserie in Miami’s hip South Beach neighborhood, needed a great logo and branding strategy to help them stand out in a crowded restaurant field. The owners asked for a look inspired by the Wes Anderson movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. The result was an interpretation of a classic French cafe with a modern and whimsical approach. S O L U T I O N : We created a clean, bold logo, consisting of an emphatic typeface with hand drawn assets that was ornate and clean at the same time. It worked on all their different collateral to lend a sophisticated but welcoming neighborhood flair to this French-themed restaurant. We also created illustrations of restaurant icons to help support the main identity. They can be seen on all the supporting collateral from menus, bags and boxes. A refined palette of dark grey and gold foil were selected to help push the high end and exciting new look of the Menin Hospitality establishment. CALIBRE LO G O / B R A N D I N G / W E B D E S I G N C H A L L E N G E : To create a logo for a Miami luxury Real Estate firm specializing in million-dollar properties on the Venetian Causeway in Miami Beach. S O L U T I O N : The goal was to have the elegant “C” we created anchor the brand and establish the business’s unique identity. Through multiple iterations we created the new icon and nameplate. With the use of the graphic, customized “C” — along with the colors, supporting fonts, and imagery — their identity lets its potential customers know what they really stand for: great service and high-end real estate. TAMIS FUNCTIONAL PILATES LO G O / B R A N D I N G / W E B D E V E LO P M E N T C H A L L E N G E : The care and maintenance of our bodies can be thought of as one of today’s “hottest trends,” and the Pilates toning and flexibility system is one of the most popular of all. The Sunset Harbor, Florida Pilates studio of Amanda Tamis needed just the right logo, and accompanying website, to brand her as one of Miami metro ‘s go-to places for physical fitness, with an edge. S O L U T I O N : A playful, geometric deconstruction of the “m” in the name Tamis became the focal point of the logo we designed, with the idea that it could be separated and stand alone as an icon as well. It’s sleek, contemporary and eye catching, suitable for use on business cards to branded water bottles. The logo suggests motion and speed, an angled body working out well-exercised muscles. EDDIE IRVINE HOMES LO G O / B R A N D I N G / P R I N T C H A L L E N G E : Jacober Creative was hired by former Formula One driver Eddie Irvine to brand his growing real estate investment company, Eddie Irvine Homes. Mr. Irvine needed a unifying look for his expanding international portfolio that was at once elegant and modern. S O L U T I O N : We responded to his request by creating a stacked typographic logo in a classic Bodoni font that incorporates his cool and sophisticated sensibilities. The new look works perfectly as an emblem on apparel, supporting marketing material and signage. We’re thankful to have been able to push this brand where it’s going today. C H A L L E N G E : The fresh juice industry is highly competitive, so we set out to create and develop a brand that stands out from the competition. Our approach was something bold and edgy yet always commercial, memorable and approachable. S O L U T I O N : We delivered a new identity package, a logo and supporting collateral along with an online identity. We married the “J” and the “F” into one circular icon that plays well on everything. POINT FOUNDATION A N N U A L R E P O R T C H A L L E N G E : A redesign and layout of a 40-page Annual Report was the challenge we were presented with for the Point Foundation, the National LGBTQ Scholarship Fund. We didn’t want to put the spotlight on a letter from the CEO, or facts and figures that just focused on finances and personnel. We wanted the look for the report we produced for Point to visually elevate the organization with a different take on corporate communications. S O L U T I O N : We took the current branding and offered up a new, fresh and a unique look while also staying on- brand for the organization. TROPICALIA CISNEROS FOUNDATION A N N U A L R E P O R T / I N F O G R A P H I C S / W E B S I T E C H A L L E N G E : The Cisneros foundation designs and implements programs for education, the environment, productivity, and wellbeing and culture in the Dominican Republic, as part of the efforts of the Tropicalia sustainable tourism and real estate development of Cisneros Real Estate. We delivered a well designed, magazine-style, glossy report covering their work for 2014. S O L U T I O N : We created clean editorial layouts, using full bleed color photographs, beautifully designed info graphics, and strong typography. We feel pacing is incredibly important in any magazine, so we used a structured flat-plan with section breaks that helped the flow, allowing the content to breath and letting the reader know where he or she is in the publication. We recommended a coated, matte paper with a smooth silk feel, which gave the report a classy look and feel. E N E R G Y RUNWAY RESORT LO G O / B R A N D I N G / W E B D E S I G N C H A L L E N G E : Former South Beach promoter Alan Roth has joined forces with Lauren Abrams, previous owner of Islamorada’s Casa Morada, and Ian Schrager alum Robert Todak, to create the spanking new-but-retro Runway Resorts, which is opening its first boutique property in downtown Hollywood, Florida. The hotel aims to capture the 1960s vibe of the existing low rise neighborhoods, and update it with a modern sensibility and a contemporary standard of service. Jacober Creative was brought on board to develop a logo and brand architecture that could carry the new company into the future as more properties are added to their portfolio. S O L U T I O N : The logo we created reflects a fun 1960s sensibility that can bring back memories of Vegas, Sinatra, martinis and Playboy bunnies. It is distinctive, catchy and perfectly attuned to the owners’ concept of retro-meets-modern, working in different contexts and with different palettes. We created a beautiful hand drawn font that not only captured the unique feel of the hotel but also the sensibility of the intended ’60s era. The Runway Resort logo was then carried through in signage, apparel, stationary and on-property branding. SURFSIDE, FL LO G O / B R A N D I N G A R T D I R E C T I O N / P H OT O G R A P H Y C H A L L E N G E : The Town of Surfside came to us in need of a brand new look and marketing campaign to reignite the interest of families and tourists in the beach-side city.  S O L U T I O N : Our concept was aimed at building the visibility of the charming town nestled between Miami and Bal Harbour, and thus “Simply Surfside” was created. The intent was to say something simple about the unique and inviting elements of the town.
