 Title: Wayne Catalog
 Client: Wayne Water Systems
 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
 Art Director: Jana Bullock

In the past, our company catalog featured
 a product-based layout. Last year, I was
asked to create a catalog that focused
more on the consumer experience with our
products, and how they provide worry-free
 water handling solutions, while protecting
 the environment and promoting water
 conservation. Furthermore, our several
 product categories are represented by
 color-coded icons, which are found
 throughout the catalog.

 Client: SD McCullough + Associates
 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
 Art Director: Jana Bullock

SD McCullough + Associates, one of
 manufacturing reps, requested a custom
designed catalog for one of their oldest
 customers, Northern Tool & Equipment.
 Based out of Burnsville, Minnesota,
Northern Tool offers a wide selection
of products from consumer goods to
 industrial and construction equipment
 to do-it-yourselfers, contractors and
 professional shops.

 Title: Condo Living
 Client: New Homes Guide
 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
 Art Director: Rebecca Paciorek

During the housing boom a few years
ago, the publisher of the New Homes
 Guide for Cincinnati and Northern
Kentucky asked me to do a preliminary
design for a Condo guide that she and
 her boss thought about implementing.
In the past, their business solely
 focused on new housing communities,
so they wanted to diversify their
business to include upscale condos that
 emphasized “maintenance free” living.

 Title: Green Packaging
 Client: Wayne Water Systems
 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
 Art Director: Jana Bullock

 Designed with a more robust
motor, our new series of “green”
 sump pumps created an
 opportunity for new packaging
that would fit within our existing
brand identity - but with a slightly
 different twist. Our message
 heavily focused on the new
 pump’s energy-efficiency and
lower amp draw, resulting in our
 customers saving more money
 on their utility bills.

 Miracle Images Photography,
located in Columbus, Ohio, is a
 fine art photography studio
 whose sole proprietor suffers
 from a visual impairment. The
 owner desired a logo that
 somehow incorporated “miracle” Envelope
into her identity, and could easily
 be replicated on business cards,
 letterhead, attire, etc.

 Title: Ace Packaging

 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
 Art Director: Jana Bullock

As one of our oldest and most
 valuable clients, Ace Hardware
desired a more up-to-date look to
their packaging that had been in
use for several years. Instead of
 2-color litho labels using outdated
 black-and-white lineart, our team
 presented ideas utilizing category
colors and full color product shots
 at various angles.

 DTS, or Dayton Typographic
Service as it was known to
 locals, was a full-scale service
bureau where I interned as a
 student studying graphic design.
At the time, the owners were
seeking to update their logo and Envelope
 identity, even holding a contest
 for young graphic designers to
 submit entries.

 Title: B-Dry Packaging
 Client: B-Dry Waterproofing
 Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
Art Director: Jana Bullock B-DRY Nameplate

 Well known for their waterproofing
 techniques for wet basements,
 foundations, or crawlspaces,
B-Dry was a natural compliment to our B-DRY Litho Label

sump pump business. We sold our
pumps and back-up systems to them
as a private label. Using the B-dry
mascot as inspiration, I designed the
litho labels, nameplate decals, and sell
sheets. The B-dry network consists of
 over 60 independent licensees and
 franchisees nationwide.

As a side project, I was asked to
  create a full-fledged slot game
  using Adobe Flash.
In addition, I needed to design the
  accompanying CD and cover art.
All graphics for the CD and cover
  art were created using Adobe
  Illustrator, which allowed me to

  Title: Letter Book
  Client: N/A
  Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
  Art Director: Fred Niles

As one of my favorite projects, the
  Letter Book involved designing and
binding a small book focusing on
  typography as a graphical element.
Far too often designers only think
  of typography as an afterthought.
I wanted to demonstrate, to the
  contrary, how typography, when
  used correctly, can greatly enhance
a piece of art and a message.

  Title: Alice In Wonderland Poster
  Client: N/A
  Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
  Art Director: Nanci Kaesemeyer

The poster was created during an
Adobe Illustrator class I took while
  studying web design at Cincinnati
State. It allowed me to play with the
different scaling and opacity tools, as
well as the texture and color libraries.
I took the animals from a previous
  assignment, added color, and placed
them in a rather whimsical, cartoonish
environment that evolved into a movie
  poster for fun sake.

  Title: 97X Exposure CD
  Client: WOXY
  Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
  Art Director: Nanci Kaesemeyer

  WOXY, an alternative radio
  station located in Oxford, Ohio,
  sponsored an annual local band
  competition. In this instance, the
  station allowed the general
public to submit entries for their
  compilation CD and tape cover.
Needless to say, it was the very
first and only contest to date I
have ever won. A framed copy
proudly hangs in my office today.

  Client: Aquapro Systems
  Designer: Nanci Kaesemeyer
  Art Director: Jana Bullock

  Aquapro Systems, a small
  company focused on the leisure
pool and spa market, needed a
new website to connect to its
  customer base. After researching
  what competitors were doing with
their sites at the time, I created a
few concept pages that included a
  product page, store locator, and
  contact us page, among others.

My husband and I traveled to Maui,
Hawaii for a vacation. The black-

 our adventure up to Haleakal’a,
 Maui’s highest summit. Traversing
the surreal landscape was akin to
 walking on the moon without

 During my adventures in Maui,
 I quickly discovered the breath-

and rugged cliffs were truly a
 photographer’s paradise. The
 photos I captured truly inspired
me as an artist and allowed me
 to experiment with the various

 created these amazing images.
