40. National Trust
Remember, remember
the fifth of November
Volunteer Managers Day.
A chance to say thank you
and big up what you do
for all of us every day.
We need volunteers and
we have sixty thousand
Supporting the work of the Trust,
but behind those four zeros
are everyday heroes
the VMs - worth more than gold dust!
You wear many faces,
work at different places,
from Hardwick to Heelis to Stowe.
But all share a passion -
a volunteer mission
to plan, recruit, manage and grow.
From briefings and meetings
to getting the teas in,
and knowing who's here and who's not.
Expenses approver,
and worry remover -
to make sure that nothing's forgot.
Supportive and caring,
persistent and daring,
you're mentors and leaders and friends.
Your patience and vision
and great supervision
are why volunteers recommend.
It’s often a challenge;
longer opening to manage
and launching new systems is tough.
It can be eventful
but know we’re all grateful -
we simply can't thank you enough!

Thank you! From the Whole Trust VCI Team
