2. LOCATION
• Italy or the Italian Republic is located in
southern Europe, it is a peninsula that
expands into the heart or center of the
Mediterranean Sea. Italy is an area that is
found to be bigger than the entire state of
Arizona. Italy’s land is calculated to be
about 1,932.2km and it has boundaries
surrounding nearly all over them, border
countries such as Austria, France, Holy
See, San Marino, Slovenia, and
Switzerland. Its physical landscape and
structural location are made up of rugged
and mountainous views as well with some
plains and coastal lowlands. Looking at its
borders, seems as they need a lot of
protection.
3. CLIMATE
• Italy and its all-around different climate, The
Coastal regions, where some of the bigger and
larger towns are found experience a
Mediterranean climate with some winters and
hot and dry summers. However the winter
season tend to change from clouds and rain to
warmer, sunnier weather. Throughout the
Peninsula in Italy in the Inland the weather is
often cold and wetter with frequent snow on
the mountains during the winter. Along the
Major North. The climate can be very cold and
freezing in the winter, however in these
location summers tend to be the raining
season. Throughout the South of the country it
can get very hot, however temperatures can be
very hot and humid and during the winters
theirs is only about 4 hours of daylight. The
Inland North has a humid subtropical climate
while the Coastal has a Mediterranean climate.
4. POPULATION
• Italy is the fifth most populous country in Europe and
the 23rd most populous in the world with a population
of around 61.1 million in 2015 with roughly 52% being
female and 48% being males. The population density is
quite uneven with half of its population living in the Po
Valley Looks as though with all their visiting tourist
and citizens they don’t need to welcome in
immigrants. Various race of migrants are living born
into Italy from Romans and Mormons into Albanians
most of those migrating during the Roman Empire era.
The native Italians make up about 96& of Italy’s
population and yes Italy is a very luxurious and one of
the crowdies’ places in the world. However, population
studies show that within the next 35 years Italy will
suffer a major drop in the in population and suffer a
higher death rate, only then I believe immigrants will
be welcomed. The supposed drop rate would be 20 %
which will be a great loss in Italy’s population.
5. • The five major cities in Italy as following research shows are Venice, Turin,
Florence, Verona, and Rome. Venice is a one of a kind city built on water in the,
middle of a lagoon. Venice is one of Italy’s most beautiful and most romantic places
not only for its citizens but for visitors all over the world. A place which you could
fix a broken relationship that’s how Romantic it is. However the heart and soul of
Venice would have to be the Piazza San Mark’s Basilica a religious place of Italians
visited by people throughout the world to see its historian artifacts. Venice could be
described as a place with churches, palaces and beautiful canal all around it. Venice
was formerly a bridge between East and West.
• Turin, anything a visitor would expect there you would find major cultural hubs
with excellent museums, elegant shops, and good restaurants such as the Porto di
Savona, La Campannina, Amici Mie, etc. It is famous for its cafes and architecture. It
is a great city for wandering and exploring new things as well as learning different
history through it buildings.
• Florence, it is one of Italy’s most important and most famous cities for it
renaissance and its architecture as well as its art centers. Medici palaces and
gardens can be found there. Florence holds many greatest artistic treasures in the
world. Although very crowded because tourist always visit the cathedral, the
churches of Santa Maria Novella and treasured artifact painting and creations of
Michelangelo can be found there.
• Verona, the place which inspire the greatest writer William Shakespeare to set and
make two plays there, the most known Romeo and Juliet, and two gentlemen in
Verona. It was once the most powerful cities during the Roman Empire era. Very few
tourist visit Verona so it is not that much crowded, it is built around the Adige
River. Its symbolic monument in Verona is the Arena because that where romans
found there entertainment.
MAJOR CITIES
6. CULTURE FOOD
• Italian food has been a major part in the
influence of other diches around the
world. The most important sides that a
dish will almost certainly contains cheese,
wine, and pasta for Italians food is not
just nourishment but it is life and
important skill of life. Although American
deemed pizza and spaghetti to be eating
every day Italian choose to switch it up
eating rice, potatoes, fish etc. What one
will eat there is obviously Italian food
however there is no necessity to bring
American food because there is American
restaurants in Italy such as The Black
American Bar.
7. CULTURE HOLIDAYS
• The following holidays and festivals that are going to be
presented are those of Italian history and religious
practices. I Epifania or The Epiphany is a religious holiday
which is celebrated on the sixth of January and it is
supposed to symbolize the birth of Jesus. The word
epiphany is Greek for miracle because its significance is
the 3 important events that occurred in the early life if
Jesus. Italian say its miracle because of the newly born
Jesus and the three wise kings, his baptism by john
batiste, and his first miracle he performed in the wedding
of Cana. The epiphany also marks the end of Christmas
season. The epiphany is like Christmas for Americans, we
get presents woo!!!
• The next holiday is Festa Della Liberazione or the
Liberation day which is celebrated on the 25 of April. It is
celebrated to commemorate the freeing of Italy by allied
troops in the Second World War II. This holiday is meant to
honor the lives of those people who or Italian who lost
their lives while fighting in the war or against the Nazis.
• The other is probably like the United States Labor Day but
in Italy it is referred to as Giorno Di Maggio or May Day,
and its celebrated the first of May for not only workers to
take the day off but also for political parties to protest
against their cause out in the streets just as normal
civilians. The cause is usually friendly, there is
8. CULTURE RELIGION
• The major religion in Italy is Roman
Catholicism. The Vatican City, located in
the heart of Rome, is the hub of Roman
Catholicism and where the Pope stays. Its
Roman Catholicism because both the
state and the religion are sanctioned by
laws the law and religion go hand and
hand. Geographically the religion is within
Italian soil. About 88 percent pertain to
the Roman Catholicism while the rest are
just followers. Religion came with the
romans during the Roman Empire era
since they brought there believes.
9. PHYSICAL HAZARDS
• Physical hazards risks include
landslides, mudflows,
avalanches, earthquakes,
volcanic eruptions, flooding;
land subsidence in Venice.
These are factors because Italy
is in a peninsula which is more
favorable to have major
disasters. Other factors which
affects Italy is pollution and
climate change because of the
change of environment.
10. BEAUTIFUL PLACES
• Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful places
in Italy and its one more reason for why Italy is
such a great travel destination. It is a rugged
portion of coast it has hundreds of walking
trails which tourist can easily admire the sweet
beauty of nature and its essence. It is named
for the five towns of Monterosso, Vernazza,
Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Did I
mention that it’s a fishing village I mean what
else one could ask for a city with a perfect view
of the Mediterranean Sea.
• Verona and the Lakes is the gem of northern
Italy Verona has wonderful lakes which are
essential because it’s the beauty of the city and
of the people. Many tourist visit the lakes to
relax and enjoy the beauty and the nature of it.
The water I a light blueish greenish color as if
you were not in this world instead if you were in
a place of peace.
11. WARNINGS
• I believe that what travelers
should be aware of is that Italy
has very hazards weathers and
could have violent natural
attacks. However what travelers
should also be aware of is that
Italy has had a low crime rate
and been decreasing over the
last 8 years. What I believe
travelers should be aware of is
that the climate is very different
and that it can affect the body
condition of people.
