This document summarizes the professional experience of an IT Specialist including: - Serving as a team lead and acting Branch Chief providing network infrastructure support since 2013 after transferring from customer support. - Managing IT projects, contractors, operations, telecommunications, training, and hardware/software delivery since 2011. - Overseeing conference room modernization projects and serving as a Contracting Officer Representative for various IT contracts, resulting in cost savings and returns through effective oversight and market research. - Coordinating large multi-media events and international video conferences for government offices since 2011. - Assessing IT security practices as a project manager and COR by working with security staff to ensure infrastructure integrity since 2010.

1. IT Specialist (GS13) – Network Infrastructure Support Services 3/2013 to Present
Lateral move from Customer Support Services to Network Infrastructure Services in order to expand scope
of IT Operations knowledge and continue leadership building. Serve as team lead and currently the acting
Branch Chief.
IT Specialist (GS13) – IT Project Manager for 7/2011 to Present
Responsible for the project management, contracting management, and team lead of the day-to-day
operations of the Network Infrastructure Support Services Branch. Scope of responsibility includes but not
limited to providing oversight and management of IT contractor personnel, infrastructure operations,
telecommunications, training, and hardware and software customer delivery.
 Provide full project management life cycle oversight of various infrastructure implementation
projects such as Cisco WAN Optimization Installations at two remote offices, IT representative for
the agency’s Building Modernization, and Conference Room A/V modernization initiatives.
 Accomplishments
o Outstanding communication with customers through regular project updates and ability to
convey IT information in an easy to understand format.
o Timely and within cost delivery of project milestones and completion through an organized
and team approach.
o Great skills in motivating and organizing team members to work toward a common goal and
complete tasks ahead of schedule.
 Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative for various IT contracts to include Managed Trusted
Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS), Cellular Wireless Devices, A/V Upgrade and Maintenance
Consolidation, Cisco Device and Software Maintenance
 Accomplishments
o Conducted in-depth audit of wireless user accounts and revealed inaccuracies. Actions after
the audit resulted in an accurate inventory and savings to the agency of $3,000.00 monthly in
addition I gave oversight to a new process that excesses devices to a company that provides
a return in agency funds.
o Exceptional service level agreement management which has led to return funds to FERC by
contractor due to service unavailability.
o Oversight and market research and project management over state of the art conference
room that serves the FERC Chairman and Commissioners
o Highly effective market research skills with proven ability to deliver secure and state of the
art solutions through effective technical writing and requirements gathering.
o Simplified Cisco device maintenance contract by participated in writing a Statement of
Objectives which combined eight different contract into a single contract
IT Specialist (GS13) – Audio Video Conference Expertise and Oversight 7/2011 to Present
Responsible of coordination and oversight of large special multi-media events for the Office of External
Affairs and Office of Energy Projects.
 Accomplishments
o Coordination of the first international video teleconference between FERC and China via
ISDN connection to the State Department bridging services.
o Coordination of the first international direct IP calls to the European Union and State
Department in Belgium.
o Project management of OEPI software conference that had (600) web participants and (100)
on site participants. The event was recorded, closed captioned, and posted to the Ferc.gov
site.

2. o Coordination of an international conference with representatives from seven (7) different
countries and our FERC commissioners.
IT Security Liaison and Oversight for IT Operations 12/2010 to Present
- Assess IT security practices as COR and project manager by working with security staff to assure
infrastructure integrity.
 Oversight and COR management of SSL certificates for FERC public facing websites
