He not only improved our lives, the lives of his family, but of many many more. Because of "it" he was able to share his knowledge with hundreds of people, by writing books, by being the dean of the accounting school at a university and by innovating accounting techniques never seen before in Peru. So this life-altering event had me thinking: "What would people say about me on my eulogy? Would they say I had "it"? Would others had been impacted by my "it"? Would there be a wiki about me and what I did with "it"? So I began to do a lot of internal searching. And to observe people around me...

5. Alan Curtis Kay (born May 17, 1940) is an American computer scientist. He has been
elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, theNational Academy
of Engineering, and the Royal Society of Arts. He is best known for a pioneering work
on object-oriented programming and windowing graphical user interface design, and
for coining the phrase, "The best way to predict the future is to invent it."
He is the president of the Viewpoints Research Institute, and an Adjunct Professor of
Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also on the
advisory board of TTI/Vanguard. Until mid-2005, he was a Senior Fellow at HP Labs, a
Visiting Professor at Kyoto University, and an Adjunct Professor at theMassachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT).[2] After 10 years at Xerox PARC, Kay became Atari's chief
scientist for three years.

25. Focus is what these people have in common. They are prepared to live
and die for what the have found gives them meaning in life. They surround
themselves with people who share the same focus. Because even though
they are SO centered on perfecting one thing they also want to belong. We
all do.
Now, it is important to understand that this is not about love or about
passion. You can have many passions, love many things, but you should
have one thing to focus on. To do it well. To perfect your craft, through
failure after failure.
I realized I had lost focus along the way. Because of many variables, but
ultimately because it is the easiest thing to do.
