There are two trends that technical communicators must be aware of, and manage.
Accessibility is an increasingly important consideration when developing and delivering products, services, and technical information. In some regions or market sectors, you might not be permitted to sell your products or services unless you can demonstrate accessibility.
The growth of mobile platforms continues to accelerate. Figures vary, but the expectation is that 2013 will be characterized by a significant cross-over as the sales of tablet devices exceed those of PCs and laptops for the first time.
Individually, these trends are significant – but what are the implications when they interact with each other, or even combine? It might seem that mobile devices can view existing web content in an accessible form without difficulty. But is that always true?
In this presentation, we review key aspects of these accessibility and mobility trends, illustrated with simple examples. We explore the impact of accessibility and mobility interaction, and outline ways in which you and your organization can manage technical content to benefit from the resulting opportunity.

The document argues that microservices, containers, and Kubernetes were made to work together effectively.
ptical Networks have been dominated by closed and vendor specific network solutions. The need for greater interoperability, efficiency and simplicity in optical networks are the drivers for the open optical network architecture. We will invite speakers from the industry and vendor communities to discuss and share their views on Open Optical Network architecture. Some of the key issues to discuss are:
- How Open Line Systems and optical white boxes could play a role in building NREN networks.
- Are these technologies mature enough to rely on?
- What are the key issues it is going to solve?
- What are the operational consequences of such dramatic network architecture changes?
- What have standardizations bodies done in the area of Open Optical Network?
- Do we have clear demarcation points between different functional blocks and boxes?

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!

Internships at Juniper
Our internship program consists of professional development,
exposure to life at Juniper across the company, personal interaction
with the company's leaders. Students gain hands-on experience in a
corporate environment, deepening domain knowledge and
developing interpersonal skills.
• Interns form a pipeline for our new college grad (NCG) roles.
• Interns contribute to the company.
• The program helps students develop and opportunity for hiring
• Eligibility at Juniper: an intern is a student enrolled in an institute
of higher education hired as a Juniper employee through the
University Talent Program. There are criteria for qualification like
education, business and country
