Kennedy KC LLC (KKC) and ISCT Group US LLC (ISCT)
formed an alliance under a Memorandum of Under-
standing in August of 2017 to provide comprehensive
environmental remediation, consulting and field
services to energy clients globally. The principal
partners at both companies have a long and storied
history managing complex projects for US oil and gas
companies; however, this alliance seeks to bring their
combined special talents and technologies under one
banner to provide state of the art engineering and
technical field services to US energy clients but also
utilize ISCT’s international relationships to offer full
service engineering and technical services throughout
the Americas, Australasia, Africa, Asia and the UK.
ISCT and KKC will continue to jointly develop business
opportunities throughout the Americas and overseas
in all sectors of hydrocarbon processing.
This alliance combines the unique talent and success
KKC has had with implementing and managing sustain-
ability, reliability, and efficiency models with ISCT’s
process measurements and decontamination technolo-
gies along with their group of chemical cleaning and
pipeline pigging companies.
Global oil and gas (O&G) industry mergers and acquisi-
tions (M&A) exceeded $137 billion in the first half of
2017. This coincided with a period in which oil prices
seemed to be settling at a higher level than the previous
two years, encouraging some level of confidence to the
industry that markets were in recovery although oil
prices have settled into the mid-$50 per barrel range.
Total Quality Management Systems (TQM) ensures
consistency across all products, driving quality
improvements, reliability and reducing risks to process,
personnel, and the environment. Regular audits help
to ensure compliance and define risks. A key missing
metric is produced mercury and it’s effects to process,
personnel, the environment and products.
Mercury and toxic metals have been an emerging issue
in many regions around the world including the U.S and
GOM over the last decade. Well interventions for aging
infrastructure and low-production assets in the GOM &
globally are increasing. As fewer new wells are being
put into service, and E&P trends are declining due to
lower crude prices, interventions are now becoming a
key consideration for extending the life of aging assets
and should be included in TQM models.
