RAIL NEER
SEGMENT• The first Rail Neer plant at Nangloi, Delhi was commissioned on May
2003. and currently, 10 such plants are operated by IRCTC, producing
45% to 50% of the demand of packaged drinking water over Indian
Railways.
• It to set up Rail Neer plant at Visakhapatnam plant, IRCTC has tied up with
NationalThermal Power Corporation (NTPC), in which waste water is
converted into distilled water through the process of multi-effect Then,
required minerals are added into the distilled water in order to make it fit to
consume.
• By March 2020, six more plants – Nagpur, Sankrail (Howrah), Jagi Road
(Guwahati), Bhusawal, Jabalpur and Una that are at an advanced stage of
completion are likely to be commissioned.
• Additionally, Rail Neer plants will also be set up at
Vijayawada,Visakhapatnam, and Bhubneshwar. According to IRCTC, with
new Rail Neer plants, nearly 75% to 80% of water demand over Indian
Railways will be met.

• IRCTC tourism As a subsidiary of the Indian Railways.The Indian
Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) manages the
tourism, online ticketing and catering for the fourth largest rail
network in the world.
• It offers domestic packages as part of the IRCTC tourism.You can book
from the various IRCTC packages for your preferred destination while
booking train tickets, opting for car rentals or even looking forflights.
• The Indian Railways conceptualised and built IRCTC to bolster tourism by
tying up with travel agents, tour operators, and hotels. Around 14 lakh
people book through IRCTC in a day which gives the railways a huge
advantage to provide its customers with hospitality services. And it was
only judicious of the Railways to introduce IRCTC tour packages to draw
on the high traffic that the site receives.
TOURISM
SEGMENT
Vaishno Devi Economy Package:
One of the most important shrine in Hinduism is Vaishno Devi dedicated to
the Goddess Shakti. Situated at an altitude of 5,200 ft you can visit the
temple by choosing the 3 night/4 days train package departing from New
Delhi Railway Station in Uttar Sampark Kranti Express, NonAC Sleeper
Class to reach Katra station.
Bharat Darshan:
One of the most budget-friendly journeys, this tour package covers all the
important
tourist places in the country.You can book the special tourist trains of Bharat
Darshan on IRCTC’s site.The tour covers Ujjain, Dwarka, Somnath, Shirdi, and
Nasik.
Shirdi Special:
A popular pilgrimage site in the country, Shirdi draws in a number of tourists
every year.This tour package covers Shirdi, Shani,and Nasik in a span of
three days.You will get to see Sai Baba temple, Shani Singanapur and
Muktidham, Panchavati, Triambakeswar in Nasik.

SEGMENT
IRCTC's e-ticketing service has continued to go from strength to strength
ever since it came into the market and now accounts for 70% of reserved
tickets in 2018-19 on Indian Railways booked online. On an average,
more than 7.78 lakh Tickets were sold daily through IRCTC's website
during 2018-19. The site offers round the clock ticket booking services
except for 35 minutes from 23:45 hrs to 00:20 hrs.
A total of 2841 lakh tickets were booked in 2018-19 as compared to 2466
lacs in 2017-18.Total 4949 lac passengers were booked as compared to
4340 lac passengers booked in 2017-18.The ratio of Passenger toTicket
during the year was 1.74:1.

Authorised and paid-up share
capitalDuring 2018-19, the authorised share capital of the Company was increased to Rs.
250 crores from Rs. 50 crores subsequent to approvals of shareholders and Ministry
of Railways.The paid up share capital of the Company also increased to Rs. 160
crores from Rs.40 crores by way of issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 3:1 as
detailed in the para below. As on 31 March 2019, theAuthorised share capital and
paid-up share capital of the Company was Rs. 250 crores and Rs.160 crores
respectively. President of India (Government of India) through Ministry of Railways
and its nominees hold the entire paid up share capital of the Company.
