Some European governments have taken actions to promote IPv6 deployment, including requiring public networks and services to support IPv6 and establishing IPv6 training programs. However, the European Commission warned in 2011 that without increased adoption of IPv6, the internet was at risk. While a few Latin American and Caribbean governments have also enabled IPv6 in public networks, statistics show disparities remain in IPv6 deployment across Europe and Latin America.
