• Some taken actions to at least make sure public networks are IPv6-
ready
– Netherlands, Germany, Spain, just to name a few
• Even with specific laws. Spanish case:
– Decree PRE/1716/2011
• IPv6 training plan (20 capitals)
• IPv6 support in the .es ccTLD

• Working with the private sector and other stakeholders to increase education and
awareness and reduce bottlenecks
• Show the government's commitment to IPv6
• Seek international cooperation and monitoring of implementation of IPv6.
• Make an inventory of capacities IPv6 previously developed, technical and human
