An e-portfolio is an online collection of a person's work that can be used to plan careers, apply for jobs or educational programs, and document learning. E-portfolios have several advantages over physical portfolios, as they can be easily accessed and shared online, demonstrate technology skills, and will not get lost. An effective e-portfolio tells a story about the person by including different types of media and artifacts that showcase their personal characteristics, experiences, accomplishments, knowledge, and skills. Students will create an online presentation e-portfolio using a Wikispace to organize these materials and highlight their qualifications and development.

• Identifies the qualities you can offer an organization.

• Builds confidence in what you can achieve

• Helps to identify where you want to go next

• It will not get lost or thrown away by accident
• You can easily recreate to tell different stories
• It will not clutter up someone’s desk and prevents
you from forgetting it somewhere

• Demonstrates your technology skills

5. What goes into an E-Portfolio?
• 2 types of portfolios
– The “working” portfolio
• Holds everything
• The “presentation” portfolio
• A subset of the working portfolio arranged to tell a
story about you.
• Includes best samples of your work that support the
purpose of the portfolio.
