This document outlines the theme, guiding questions, activities, and evaluations for a bimester focused on how technology influences art and community. The theme is how digital photography contributes to art development. Students will explore how technology impacts their community and make a final Photoshop composition applying editing skills. Activities include studying art movements, practicing prehistoric drawing styles in Photoshop, learning basic Photoshop tools, and creating a final composition using these tools. Students will be evaluated on their knowledge of prehistoric art, editing techniques, reflection on style and creativity, and ability to work collaboratively.

 Students will explore how tecnology can influence
our community and how we can improve our
surroundings.
All MYP students will understand their importance in
their world and how they are linked to it. They will
learn that every action they make can affect their
society as well.

5. Activities for this bimester.
 INVESTIGATION: Students will study an art tendency and will
elaborate a presentation in groups to understand the most
important parts of the era.
 REPRESENTATION– Students will gain knowledge of the
basic drawings that were painted in prehistoric art. They will
practice with photoshop their own composition.
 COMPOSITION- Students will become familiar with the
process of design and the principal instruments to edit a
picture.

6. Activities for this bimester.
EDITION- Students will learn the basic instruments of the program
photoshop and how it works to make their own editions.
 METHODOLOGY- Students will be taught the proper way to
understand how the methodology is important for the process
and the edition of their work.
 FINAL PROJECT – The creation of a composition will be
generated on photoshop, this including all the use of the basic
tools viewed during the bimester. So it can be reinforced by the
practices of the following classes.

 The term "pixel" is actually short for "Picture Element."
These small little dots are what make up the images on
computer displays, whether they are flat-screen (LCD) or
tube (CRT) monitors. The screen is divided up into a
matrix of thousands or even millions of pixels.
 Each pixel can only be one color at a time. However,
since they are so small, pixels often blend together to
form various shades and blends of colors. The number of
colors each pixel can be is determined by the number of
bits used to represent it
