The Real Threats to Your Presentation SuccessMichelle Mazur
It might feel like YOU are your worst enemy when it come to public speaking. You worry about your trembling hands, your shaky voice and remembering the first line of your speech.
When really there are 3 big threats to your presentation success that are even scarier than your fear of public speaking. And the only way to combat them is by becoming more of who you are.

Unchaining the Analysts - making BDUF Scrum friendly by Amber HaleyBosnia Agile
Project managers, product owners and most people who are NOT developers struggle with defining a heavily technical solution... And business analysts of the traditional nature have this technical nous, but struggle to make the transition to using agile frameworks because of the lingering hangover of BDUF/BRUF. Simply adding a BA to your team will likely create more problems than solutions without re-engineering the need to know all the facts into something that fits "just enough and Just in time".
But it doesn't have to be this way.
In this case study based presentation I explore exact the exact methods we used to upskill a Business analyst or requirements engineer, and massage their skillset into a key role that can insure that quality, detail rich stories go into any agile process, while bridging the communication gap and bringing a wealth of "Big Picture" thinking to the bite sized chunks of Scrum development.

Techniques for Minimizing Power Consumption in DFT during Scan Test ActivityIJTET Journal
Lessening in test force is vital to enhance battery lifetime in versatile electronic gadgets utilizing intermittent individual test. It's to expand dependability of testing, and to lessen test expense. A conservative test set with exceedingly viable examples, every identifying different issues, is attractive for lower test expenses. Such examples build exchanging action amid dispatch and catch operations. In this paper, we exhibit a novel circuit strategy to essentially dispense with test force dissemination in combinational logic by veiling sign moves at the logic inputs amid sweep moving is exhibited. We execute the concealing impact by embeddings an additional supply gating transistor in the supply to ground way for the first-level doors at the yields of the output flip-flops. The gating transistor supply is killed in the output in mode, basically gating the supply. Further, DFT punishments are decreased by embracing specific trigger Scan structural planning. This building design diminishes exchanging action in the circuit-under-test (CUT) and builds the clock recurrence of the checking methodology. The assistant chain moves in the contrast between sequential test vectors and just the obliged moves (alluded to as trigger information) are connected. Power necessities are significantly decreased by the utilization of a two-stage heuristic technique. Utilizing ISCAS 89 benchmark circuits, this adequacy is to enhance SoC test measures (power, time, and information volume) is tentatively assessed and affirmed.

In MANET a mobility model of the mobile nodes is an important and unique feature that differentiates this network with other wired and wireless networks. Network topology changes dynamically due to high mobility. Therefore to analyze any routing protocol performance in the realistic scenarios mobility models plays an influential role. In our paper the impact of reality based mobility models on reactive routing protocols (AODV, DSR) and proactive routing protocol (DSDV) are analyzed in the natural disaster scenarios. Performance matrices which analyze the performance of routing protocols are end to end delay, Throughput, Packet delivery Ratio. Mobility model scenarios are generated in bonnmotion and get implemented on NS2 network simulator. Our research work recommended to understand better use of routing protocols, reality based mobility models in real world application such as rescue and relief operation, tracking and surveillance operation in disaster areas.

We learn by doing; in this workshop we'll create together and then discuss effective ways to make our classrooms active learning environments. This workshop will also outfit teachers with the tools, skills, and pedagogical perspectives necessary to be successful in a 1-to-1, iPad or BYOD class. We'll share valuable educational apps for iPads across various content areas. We will design an integrated suite of tools that help students learn and show what they know to the world. Learn how to design effective learning experiences by "mashing up" different apps to create your own app-tivities. You'll walk away from this session with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of using technology in the classroom.

The Adventure of Implementing Scrum in a CorporateRegina Martins
Agile adoptions tend to take the form of journeys. It would be wonderful if they were "on-off" switches but they are not. I was privileged to have been part of a part of such an adoption. This journey started circa 2013 and this organisation is continuously learning and adapting. This is the story of a journey of a bank operating in a highly regulated environment.

How can we make learning sticky using powerful storytelling frameworks that tap into peoples' emotions? How do we involve all students in creating digital content that doesn't also create hours of content for teachers to assess? This interactive session will showcase Digital Storytelling activities teachers can use in class tomorrow! Document student learning & foster reflective ways for students to share their learning. 1st: we play! Then we'll discuss how to practically adapt these ideas, make them your own, and figure out what sort of infrastructure needs to be in place to support these kinds of powerful learning experiences. We’ll learn how to exercise your students' & your own creativity muscles and share simple strategies for collecting & publishing student work.
cleaning up after a messy website migration: how to start fresh when you can'...Anne Haines
Presented at Confab Higher Ed, New Orleans, 11/5/2015.
CMS migrations, reorgs, changed administrative priorities, and other events can leave your governance and content out of control. We’ll use the IU Libraries’ 8000-page site migration and ongoing post-migration cleanup as a case study to talk about ways to dig out of holes you may have fallen – or even jumped headlong - into. You might make different choices next time, but you still have to deal with the aftermath of this time. The old cliché warns against “closing the barn door after the horse has bolted,” but with luck and perseverance, you can have a tidier barn and happier horses!
In this session you will learn about:
Breaking your website governance free of the organizational chart without frightening the HR office
Moving from a highly distributed content creation free-for-all to a more centralized governance model without making people feel like you took away their candy
Writing a new scope or mission statement for an existing website and dealing with content that no longer fits the revised mission

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
