Kshamavani day is a day of forgiveness celebrated after a 10-day period of religious fasting and discipline. On this day, people ask forgiveness from all for any wrongdoings, knowingly or unknowingly, through words or deeds. They also forgive anyone who has erred against them. Forgiving others and oneself liberates the mind, body, and soul from guilt and burdens, allowing one to start anew in a pure state closer to God. The prayer for the day expresses forgiving all living beings, seeking forgiveness from all souls, being friendly with all, holding no animosity, and dissolving all faults.

Chapter 12, Bhakti Yoga or the Path of Devotion discusses the principle of devotion, the characteristics of a devotee & how to attain the Supreme through devotion. The last chapter ends with the statement of the Lord that only through unwavering devotion, one will be able to see & merge with the Universal-Form of the Lord. This creates a doubt in Arjuna as to the proper way of worship, & the chapter starts with a question from him.
Welcome to a delightfully different, non-religious, introduction to the basics of Meditation, its advantages, whether you are in search of some earthly purpose, like Stress Management, better health etc. or, interested in getting initiated to the spiritual world. In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

7. BODY & MIND DISCIPLINE
During the 10 days of Paryushan/Dashlakshni we keep our
body in strict discipline.
To keep a check on the body we keep our mind in complete
control.
Because an out of control mind does not allow a body to be
disciplined.
8. PURITY OF BODY & MIND
By the end of 10 days of strict fasting & discipline,
our body & mind become very pure & pious.
Both of them are in a happy & blissful state.
We come closer to God.
9. LET GO THE GUILT
To begin anew it is essential that our mind does not
carry any guilt from the past.
For this we need to forgive & forget the misdeeds of
ourselves as well as others.
10. MICHHAMI DUKKADAM
It is easy to forgive when the mind is in a pure state & is
closer to God.
So Kshamavani day is celebrated at the end of the 10 days
of religious austerity.
11. LIBERATION
This day of forgiveness liberates us from all the burdens of
our mind, body & soul.
12. THE PRAYER MEANS
I forgive all living beings
May all souls forgive me
I am on friendly terms with all
I have no animosity towards any
soul
May all my faults be dissolved.
