army is the name of this brand new artist and the terrific thing he did was HE
GOT A PLATINIUM FOR HIS FIRST ALBUM. Yep. You heard that right this
person is so talented that he was born to outreach the limits of success. We
‘Dabeat’ magazine are the first to get an interview with this talented artist.
Your name in music industry is ‘One Man Army’ what is your real name?
and how did you get the name ‘One Man Army’ ?
Well my real name is Bob Dabilldur. I got this name ‘One man army’ from my
dad who encouraged me to go to the music industry and be what I wanted to
become, and face any problems that would come in the way of success. After
I told him I’m making an album this week. He looked at me and said “I’m
proud of you my little soldier. You got where you wanted to be all on your
own, so you’re a One Man army.” And that’s how I got the name ‘One Man
army’
I know it’s obvious that you feel proud of yourself after achieving a
platinum in the first go as a new comer. But can you express what it
feels like being at the stage you’re at now?
I don’t have any words to describe how it feels like but I’ll give my best shot at
it. First of all it feels like you are something to world now and you hold some
importance for yourself on the planet. Secondly all the hard work, sweating,
and struggles did in fact pay off. I was going to give up when there was a
slight problem that I knew I couldn’t solve, but then my Dad came and gave
the courage boost when I needed it. So I would say that I loved the way I got
here more than being here.
Who is your favourite idol in the RnB genre? And why?
It is definitely without doubt Usher because he has so much creativity in him
that he could make a whole description of all the wonders of the world in such
a way that you will want to read it again and again. Moreover Usher has got
fantastic dancing skills that make him standout from the rest of the artists in
the world. His fashion also makes him look apart from the averageness. And I
think I know why he uses his fashion in that way, its because he knows that
mediocrity these days doesn’t hit the sky anymore so he has to do something
different to hit the sky.
Do you think that becoming a star is going to affect your lifestyle?
No I don’t think so. Becoming a star can change my life but not the lifestyle.
Because I think that if I work as hard as I did in the beginning success will still
be in my path. Now you might say that the sleeping times can have a big
change, but no my sleeping times are never the same so I won’t see them in a

2. pattern. My diet and exercise would remain the same as it is my habit to stay
fit. Actually my diet doesn’t stay the same either.
Would you get de-motivated if there was a bad gossip about you in the
media?
I wouldn’t get de-motivated because the media is always hunting for targets
that will boost up their sales. I know people would hate me for time being but
they will start liking again. However I would get a little bit of de motivated if
something affected me very deeply. Overall when you are an artist you have
to be prepared to face the bad side of the media as well.
Since when did you become interested in singing?
I believe the word ‘ interested’ is a bit less for me because I was passionate to
sing, my family tells me I’m a good singer I used to be shy to do sing in front
of people, but time just took away my fear and gave me energy in return.
