2. Kizhakkambalam
 Kizhakkambalam is a GramaPanchayath in the
Kunnathunadu Taluk, Ernakulam district of Kerala,
India
 The Grama Panchayat has total 19 wards and the
panchayat was governed two timesby LDF and
UDF.

3. Anna-Kitex Group
 founded by Sri M.C.Jacob
 came in to existence in 1968
 inaugurated the organization-
2020Kizhakkambalam on January 19, 2013
 Vision- they will turn Kizhakkambalam as one
of the no.1 panchayats in India, by 2020.
 The founders dreamt of transforming the
villages along with industrial development.

4. CSR- Corporate social Responsibility
 During the incorporation of CSR in to Companies Act
in 2013
 ‘compassionate care’ ,
 signify the care and affection of the company towards
the people of Kizhakkambalam by kitex group
 Kitex has been spending more than 6% of its net profits
(mandatory to spend 2% of a Company’s net profit on
CSR)
 to effectively contribute to the social and economic
development of the geography where the company
operates

 promoted by the Anna-Kitex Group of
Kizhakkambalam
 Twenty twenty association originally started as a
charitable organization
 aim to make it the best developed village in India
by 2020.
 aim of transforming Kizhakkambalam into India’s
first model village.

 “Twenty20” is chiefly focused on Food and nutrition
security, Education, Housing and Sanitation,
Healthcare, Mother and Child care, Roads and
Infrastructure, Drinking water, Farming and Ground
water conservation.
 KITEX – Kizhakkambalam + Textile
 CSR Kitex’s CSR initiatives has been spending more
than 6% of its net profits for Kizhakkambalam through
Twenty20 Kizhakkambalam.
 Already spend 300 crores of rupees

8. Entry of Kitex in Mainstream Politics
 twenty20 to contest in 2015 elections
 won 17 out of 19 seats dominantly and secured the
administration of the town.
 It was the first of its kind victory in India, that too,
in a politically-conscious state like Kerala.
 With promise of transforming Kizhakkambalam
into the smartest and the best governed village by
the year 2020.
