There is the inevitable clash between formal authority and power and those individuals and groups that are affected. There are disputes over how revenues, material and resources should be divided, how the work should be done, and how long and hard people should work

- Decisions Making : Channels are the means for transmission of messages. Organizations typically have a wide variety of channels available for transmitting oral and written messages. Face-to-face interaction, group meetings, memos, letters, computer-mediated exchanges, Web sites, presentations, and teleconferencing are among the channels commonly used in contemporary organizations. The decision-making process includes individual decisions made individually and collaboratively. For example, individual decisions include those which are developed when working in the classroom with the students. Collaborative decisions include those made when professors debate among themselves during assignment evaluations. Hidden agendas are not present and intense information sharing occurs. Ideas are put on the table and disagreements can be handled without disturbing individual relationships.
