This document discusses an internship project called "Splashbar" which involves installing Coca-Cola dispensing machines called splash bars in rural areas as part of their Bottom of the Pyramid initiative. The splash bar is a small, low-cost machine that dispenses Coke products using premixed drinks. As part of the internship, the author visited various outlets in Jaipur to understand the supply chain and sales process, identify potential locations, and submit forms for 16 interested retailers. However, they faced limitations like retailers' distrust of Coca-Cola's supply chain and lack of incentive programs from distributors. The internship provided lessons in customer engagement, sales techniques, and supply chain management.
