The document discusses Internet of Things (IoT) and how Arduino can be used to create IoT devices. It defines IoT as connecting physical devices to the internet and outlines its history and trends/uses. Arduino is introduced as an easy way to make IoT devices using a microprocessor board and IDE. Examples of sensor demonstrations and types of Arduino boards are provided. Potential issues around security, privacy, and understanding IoT are discussed. The future of IoT is seen in areas like healthcare, smart cities, and combining with AI/big data.

PEOPLE BECAME AWARE-
2011
Google’s StreetView service had not only
made 360 degree pictures but had also
stored tons of data of people’s Wifi
networks.
BOOMING FIELD OF IOT-
2014
The term Internet of Things reached mass
market awareness when in January 2014
Google announced to buy Nest for $3.2bn.
11. Types of
Arduino
Boards
ARDUINO UNO
it is used to do input & output operations
like to control a motor, read from
the sensor and in small computations.
LILYPAD ARDUINO
This board is an Arduino Programmable
Microcontroller and it is designed to
integrate easily into an e-textiles &
wearable projects.
ARDUINO NANO
It lacks only a DC power jack, and works
with a Mini-B USB cable instead of a
standard one.
12. Types of
Arduino
Boards
ARDUINO MEGA
It consists of 54 digital input/output pins
and from the total pins 14 pins are used
for the PWM output, 16 pins are used for
the analog inputs, 4 pins are used for the
hardware serial port of the UART.
ARDUINO LEONARDO
This Arduino board has 20 digital
input/out pins and from the total
number of pins, seven pins are used for
the pulse width modulation output and
12 pins are used as an analog input
ARDUINO PRO-MINI
It is intended for advanced users who
require flexibility, low-cost, and small
size.

RESI STOR)
An LDR is a sensor that has a
(variable) resistance that
changes with the light
intensity that falls upon it.
Using this we can make a
circuit which can be used for
plant monitoring system.
16. How to set up the circuit:
• Attach buzzer, led and
ldr to breadboard.
• Connect resistor
10ohm with a leg of ldr
and 220ohm with led.
• From digital pin 12 and
13 respectively,
connect led and
buzzer.
• Ground the bread
board and connect
with 5V power supply.
• Connect the power to
led and buzzer.

threat is, I’d probably
say that. So we need to
be very careful.”
