International law shapes people's everyday lives in several ways:
1) It promotes gender equality and women's rights through agencies like the UN, helping to increase opportunities for women in places like Pakistan.
2) It prohibits discrimination based on sex and helps set agendas to end culturally ingrained discrimination against women.
3) It creates treaties and systems to facilitate trade, protect health, and mitigate conflicts between states while respecting sovereignty.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. It has been rightly proclaimed in the American declaration of independence that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Created with certain unalienable rights….” Similarly, Indian Constitution has ensured and enshrined Fundamental rights for all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, religion, color, sex or nationality. These basic rights, commonly known as human rights, are recognized the world over as basic rights with which every individual is born.

Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world. Moreover, human rights are both inspirational and practical. Human rights principles hold up the vision of a free. Human rights also empower people with a framework for action when those minimum standards are not met, for people still have human rights even if the laws or those in power do not recognize or protect them. Because of this UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights) was to set a standard of rights for all people everywhere. Women is also receiving there fictitious rights. All people have the same rights and all rights are equally important. The UDHR clearly says that girls and women and boys and men have the same rights.

PRECEDENT AS A SOURCE OF LAW (SAIF JAVED).pptxOmGod1
Precedent, or stare decisis, is a cornerstone of common law systems where past judicial decisions guide future cases, ensuring consistency and predictability in the legal system. Binding precedents from higher courts must be followed by lower courts, while persuasive precedents may influence but are not obligatory. This principle promotes fairness and efficiency, allowing for the evolution of the law as higher courts can overrule outdated decisions. Despite criticisms of rigidity and complexity, precedent ensures similar cases are treated alike, balancing stability with flexibility in judicial decision-making.

WINDING UP of COMPANY, Modes of DissolutionKHURRAMWALI
Winding up, also known as liquidation, refers to the legal and financial process of dissolving a company. It involves ceasing operations, selling assets, settling debts, and ultimately removing the company from the official business registry.
Here's a breakdown of the key aspects of winding up:
Reasons for Winding Up:
Insolvency: This is the most common reason, where the company cannot pay its debts. Creditors may initiate a compulsory winding up to recover their dues.
Voluntary Closure: The owners may decide to close the company due to reasons like reaching business goals, facing losses, or merging with another company.
Deadlock: If shareholders or directors cannot agree on how to run the company, a court may order a winding up.
Types of Winding Up:
Voluntary Winding Up: This is initiated by the company's shareholders through a resolution passed by a majority vote. There are two main types:
Members' Voluntary Winding Up: The company is solvent (has enough assets to pay off its debts) and shareholders will receive any remaining assets after debts are settled.
Creditors' Voluntary Winding Up: The company is insolvent and creditors will be prioritized in receiving payment from the sale of assets.
Compulsory Winding Up: This is initiated by a court order, typically at the request of creditors, government agencies, or even by the company itself if it's insolvent.
Process of Winding Up:
Appointment of Liquidator: A qualified professional is appointed to oversee the winding-up process. They are responsible for selling assets, paying off debts, and distributing any remaining funds.
Cease Trading: The company stops its regular business operations.
Notification of Creditors: Creditors are informed about the winding up and invited to submit their claims.
Sale of Assets: The company's assets are sold to generate cash to pay off creditors.
Payment of Debts: Creditors are paid according to a set order of priority, with secured creditors receiving payment before unsecured creditors.
Distribution to Shareholders: If there are any remaining funds after all debts are settled, they are distributed to shareholders according to their ownership stake.
Dissolution: Once all claims are settled and distributions made, the company is officially dissolved and removed from the business register.
Impact of Winding Up:
Employees: Employees will likely lose their jobs during the winding-up process.
Creditors: Creditors may not recover their debts in full, especially if the company is insolvent.
Shareholders: Shareholders may not receive any payout if the company's debts exceed its assets.
Winding up is a complex legal and financial process that can have significant consequences for all parties involved. It's important to seek professional legal and financial advice when considering winding up a company.
2. INTERNATIONAL LAW
Contacts for help:dorineadalyn@gmail.com
As for many people, International law may seem abstract and diffuse, however, such laws
have help in myriads of situation regarding to humanitarian assistance, gender discrimination,
war and peace across the globe. Of such power and influence, international laws has a great
impact on people lives. International law not only exist as abstract laws but they do penetrate
more deeply into everyday lives of people. This essay aim at exploring how international law
shape everyday lives of people across the globe.
International laws through its agencies like United Nations has been instrumental in
promoting a system that promotes gender equality. As of such, gender equality is at the heart of
human rights and what international values. Protecting and promoting women rights in countries
likes Pakistan has not only help me get equal opportunity as woman in Pakistan but as prompted
the state to take it as its responsibility to solve issue relating to gender bias that have pervaded
my country for a long time. Initially, women suffered from pervasive gender based violence,
honor killing, domestic violence, sexual violence and institutional violation. Also, women in
Pakistan were systematically denied access to important social facilities. However, International
laws has work to raise awareness in Pakistan some of which I have witness. Some of these
awareness have help me and the community as whole in increasing awareness, understanding
and acknowledging gender equality. Such awareness have help improve gender issue in my
community as they have facilitated exchange of ideas, improve mutual understanding in my
community which was mostly conceived as masculine and the place of woman was insignificant.
3. Through awareness, I have witness international law affecting my community especially by
enabling even access to education, get equal opportunity in employment, discourage job
segregation, improve legal protection, and given equal opportunity in regard to religion in
freedom.
International law has prohibited discrimination on sex through coming up with Civil and
international covenants, political rights and international Covenant on Economic and cultural
rights. Internationals laws have help in promoting equal sex for both men and women by setting
agenda for national action to end discrimination that are ingrained in most Pakistan culture where
women are perceived as second beings. As of such, international law has enable an environment
to translate, monitor gender equality and women empowerment. Record show that international
laws has work to enable a safe place where women and young girls can benefit from descent
work just like men.
International laws affect daily life through such process of setting globally recognized
systems like and creation of treaties that enables safety and coexistence among people. Such
laws have created communication systems that inhibit governments from claiming exclusive
rights to do harm to vulnerable members of the society. Through international laws, the body has
managed to manage to standardize regulatory requirements to facilitate trade and also allows the
regulators to protect the health of many people across the world. International laws have emerge
to deal with areas where conflict is rampant since the law aim to mitigate destructive conflicts.
This is because international law governs relations between states with its laws which often
emanate from such state’s free will as expressed in conventions. International laws through
human rights have legal framework which work to combat specific forms of discrimination
inducing discrimination of minorities, migrants, race, people with disability and religions
4. discrimination. Member states on recognition of high level Meeting on the Rule of Law
understand the importance of ensuring that women are accorded equal opportunity as men and
are committed to ensuring that the law is upheld and all institution participate in appropriate
legal systems.
Through humanitarian interventions, International law provide a means to stopping gross
violation of human rights especially in countries where such is either incapable or unwilling to
protect her own people. Through UN, many account of humanitarian interventions have been
authorized by the international law through relying on dialogue and military intervention if there
is need to do so. The most significant principle on international law on humanitarian assistance
is its inviolability of the territorial sovereignty of states. Such respect accorded to border of
sovereign states in founded on the linchpins of international systems as it foster on the norm of
prohibiting interference in the international affairs of other countries. However, when there is
gross violation of human rights, international laws have taken upon itself to ensure that suffering
and death of innocent people is give priority through humanitarian interventions. The modern
international sovereignty is an essential aspect for self-determination of domestic states in
international laws. Since international communities have a moral duty of safeguarding and
protecting humanity, humanitarian intervention through international law is justified because
such laws provide legal obligation to do so. As search, when people’s lives across the globe are
affected negatively by their states or by a foreign state, international law has a right to intervene
and has a right to protect human right from abuses. This is because all culture across the world
have a moral duty to protect and to be protected from violations. On other instances international
laws affect people’s lives by ensuring that through its Agencies, they eradicate harmful diseases
like pandemic, reducing chances of health challenges and promoting good environment where
5. people can live. Such laws relate to climate change agreements and preserving natural resources
across the world.
International laws are a significant aspect of people in the contemporary world. Such
laws affect people’s lives in regard to humanitarian assistance on issue like flood, disease,
combatting conflict, and help improving medical access. On discrimination, international laws
have work to reduce discrimination on issue like discrimination on race, gender, people with
disability and other form of discrimination. International laws on discrimination aims to
eliminate any form of bias or prejudice that can result in violence. On sovereignty, international
law recognize the importance of sovereignty however, when a nation disregard the right of
people within its border, international law can be applied to help or eliminate human suffering.
On gender, international laws on issue of gender especially in Pakistan have work to improve
lives of women and give them opportunity to access equal opportunity as men. Also,
international laws have raise awareness on the plight of women in Pakistan thus leading to
improvement and empowerment of our lives.
