Course Objectives:
The main objective of this course is to explore the dynamics of global business environment and to prepare the students about examining the maximization of
returns in context with human resources. The paper would familiarize the students about the implications of the globalization process, challenges that changes in the
international economy and manage the diversity of HRM in an international context and the key HR challenges facing organizations working internationally..
Pre-requisites: Completion of following course is required before taking the class: Human Resource Management. It is also expected that student will have
basic understanding of the concepts of globalization and internationalization.
Student Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate:
- Appraise the concept of international human recourse management, and HR role as a strategic partner
- Recognize and analyze various issues and practices pertaining to the major HRM functions within the context of multinational environment.
- To discover the concept of corporate social responsibility and its application at the international level;
- Know the impact of national culture on individuals and role of HR
- To recognize the growing importance of workforce diversity etc.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:
Tutorials, Interactive sessions, Case studies, Field visits Management games, Extensive research projects, Seminars, Weekend experience in companies - the course is covered
by adopting a combination of lecture methods, class presentation by groups of students, self study sessions. Each student is required to do the back ground reading from the
specified chapters of the prescribed book before coming to class. Cases are also to be analyzed, discussed in groups (teams) outside the class as preparatory work.
