This document presents an intelligent traffic surveillance and policing system. It discusses the problem of managing traffic violations and criminal activities manually with limited resources. The proposed system uses mobile and web applications to automate fine collection, receipt generation, and criminal tracking. Key features include digitizing routine police work, increasing transparency to reduce corruption, and providing secure access. The system modules, flow diagrams, hardware/software requirements and limitations are also outlined.

INTRODUCTION
This is a system, which will provide mobile and web based application
for Traffic Surveillance as well as policing.
It will address various problems faced in the Indian context, where
normal traffic is very heavy and rules are rarely followed. Apart from
that people include in corrupt practices after violating the traffic rules.
ITSP will provide an interface to general public to register complaints
and view their logs.
The process of Traffic Surveillance is made convenient, time efficient
and unbiased by the use of this system.
4. 4
PROBLEM STATEMENT
It is very hard for Police department to manage all the
regular activities like fine regulations and collections,
tracking of criminals manually with so less man power and a
lot of burden. Our project will be digitalizing all the
necessary and regular workload of Police Department with
improving efficiency and accuracy.

WORKING OF THE SYSTEM
Traffic violation enforcement and fine collection
system can be automated by using the mobile based
system.
This application is web based and can be accessed by
policemen by their registered mobiles only.
The MAC addresses of authorized users are registered
for secured connection.
First of all, user (police) has to log into the system by
entering the required fields
6. WORKING OF THE SYSTEM
If he wants to lodge a complaint against a vehicle
owner, then he must enter the details required.
After verification of identity, he can enter the crime
details.
The total fine will be automatically calculated and after
payment of fine, the SMS and E-mail containing the
receipt will be sent to the vehicle owner.
While doing the same system will also see for previous
records of the person or vehicle in any of the criminal
activities. If any ? He can be trapped.
7. 7
WORKING OF THE SYSTEM
The higher administrative authorities can also keep a
tab on the surveillance process by logging into special
accounts created for them and viewing the charts.
