Using a sample of 92 patients, this study looked into the impact of intellectual capital on the efficiency of private hospitals. The researchers used a quantitative approach to assess the effect of Intellectual capital (Human capital, Structural capital, and Relational capital) on long-term competitive advantage in private hospitals in Iraq's Kurdistan region. The research sample was selected using a random sampling method and conducted in various locations across Iraq's Kurdistan province. A total of 110 questionnaires were distributed, but only 92 people correctly completed them. The findings revealed that the most effective relationship with firm success was between human capital as an element of Intellectual capital, while the least effective relationship was between ownership as an element of Intellectual capital. Furthermore, our findings indicate that finance managers should use debts as a last resort in terms of intellectual capital. Finally, our research can be improved by using more controlled variables, a greater sample size, and data from a longer time span in the regression models. Other methods and steps can be used as well.
Effect of Abnormal Cash Flow Quality on Big 4 and Non Big 4 Audited Firms in ...YogeshIJTSRD
This study compare financial reporting quality of Big 4 audited and non Big 4 audited firms in Nigeria. Specifically, compares the abnormal operating cash flow quality, and abnormal production expenditure quality, and unexpected core earnings of Big 4 and non Big 4 audited firms. The study adopts the ex post facto research design as the goal is not manipulate any variable but rather establish comparative difference. The population comprised of quoted manufacturing firms and the sample restricted to a purposive sample of 62 firms from 6 sectors listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE . The study utilized secondary data retrieved from annual financial statements of the sampled firms. The data were analyzed using several techniques such as multiple regression, and correlation. The results showed a statistically significant difference in abnormal operating cash flow quality of Big 4 and non Big 4 audited firms a statistically significant difference in abnormal production expenditure quality of Big 4 and non Big 4 audited firms. Based on this, the study recommends that shareholders during Annual General Meeting AGM may also seek the adoption of joint auditors to strengthen audit quality and cushion against shocks from manipulative practices of managers or the lack of independence from continued engagement of particular audit firms. Analysis of Accounting-Based Measures of Expected Returns: A Study of Private...AI Publications
The research is going a novel route by investigating whether investors project previous performance into the future in order to come up with their estimates about future stock returns. The way earlier research estimates investors' expectations is to use experiments or surveys to determine those expectations. In contrast, we generate investors' expectations by taking stock prices, the book value of equity, and analyst earnings projections into consideration. The research was conducted in Erbil's SME. The researchers used a quantitative approach to evaluate the impact of Accounting-based will have significant influence on expected returns in SME in Kurdistan region of Iraq. The present thesis was analyzed using a questionnaire. Sample design is the technique or process that the researcher is able to accept in selecting objects for the survey is referred to as sample design. The research sample was chosen using a random sampling method and carried out in various locations in Kurdistan region of Iraq. A total of 175 questionnaires were issued, but only 162 participants completed them correctly. Thus, results are often debated because this metric is not frequently observable, exceptionally difficult to measure, and there is no generally accepted method for estimating its value. We argue that by definition, the standard for measuring a cross-section of future returns will provide statistical "proxies" that on average estimate future market returns across different asset classes. Although much work has been done on this measurement problem, as far as we know, no such approach exists. Nevertheless, it is important to take the findings of this study into consideration, especially given the following limitations. Similarly, we did not obtain subjective evaluations from expert informants as we did not have access to the necessary databases. The finding revealed that the accounting-based strongly predicts expected returns (Beta is weight .701, p.001), implying that accounting-based would have a clear beneficial relationship with expected returns based on this finding the research hypothesis is supported.

An Impact of Capital Adequacy Ratio on the Profitability of Private Sector Ba...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Profitability being one of the cardinal principles of bank lending acts as a game changer for the survival and success of private sector banks in India. In order to stay profitable, banks have to capitalise on every penny advanced to yield the expected returns. However, considering the constraints laid down by the Reserve Bank of India, banks have to maintain a minimum capital adequacy ratio, as per the current BASEL III regulations active in India. With the mergers of public sector banks, the challenge has got just tougher for the private sector banks in India. Expansion and Diversification are the key strategies adopted by the key players from the private banking sector, however, with the minimum capital adequacy ratio observed by them, it is necessary to understand its actual impact on the bank’s profitability. This research paper aims to throw light upon the linkage that capital adequacy has with the bank’s profitability. It attempts to establish a relation between the Capital Adequacy Ratio with the Net profits of the bank. For the purpose of this study, data from the past 5 years of the leading private sector banks has been collected, namely, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, AXIS Bank and YES Bank. The collected data has been analysed using Pearson’s Correlation to establish a relation between the CAR Ratio & the bank’s profitability. Hypothesis testing has been further done to study the quantum of proportionate change in the profitability with a change in the CAR Ratio for private sector banks using applicable research tools. The said research tools are applied to achieve the desired results while maintaining the required quantum of accuracy. It also aims to understand the proportionate impact of changes in CAR to the bank’s profitability, which can act as a suggested measure for banks to develop a reliable framework for efficient capital management and increase overall efficiency. The results derived from the data collected and analyzed aim to provide scope for further study on the subject matter.
The Impact of Capital Structure on the Performance of Industrial Commodity an...IJEAB
This paper investigates the impact of capital structure on the performance of commodity and service firms listed on the Vietnamese Stock Exchange. Data used in the paper were collected from the 142 firms listed on Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi Stock Exchange during time 2009-2015. By using the descriptive statistics and linear regression model, the findings shows that there is negative relationship between capital structure (e.i. STD. LTD and DA) and peformance of the firms (i.e. ROE) for the commodity and services firms listed on two given Stock Exchange Market of Vietnam. Following are possible implications for the study.
Financial reporting quality has been said to play an important role in reducing information asymmetry. Thus, firms with high financial reporting quality may enhance more investors’ decision. Hence, the basic objective of this study is to determine whether earnings quality influence investors’ decision. The sample consisted of 10 manufacturing companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange Market. The study period is 5 years (2010-2014). Data on accrual quality, volume of investment, Size, age and growth rate and earnings per share were drawn from the published annual report and accounts of the sampled companies. Correlation matrix, Vector auto regressive estimation and Pooled OLS model were employed for the analysis. Diagnostic tests for post estimation were also performed on the model. The result of the Ramsey Reset test shows a p-value of 0.2105, implying that model has no omitted variables. Also, Wooldridge test for autocorrelation in panel data indicates no first-order autocorrelation, showing a p-value of 0.3642. We calculated accruals quality based on the modified accrual model proposed by Mac Nichols in 2002. In this paper, the absolute value of residual error represents the financial reporting quality. This threshold is based on the idea that accruals reduce the smoothing initiated by the change in the cash flow and thus increase the earnings awareness. The study finds evidence of a positive association between investors’ decision and financial reporting quality.

An Investigation into the Financial Performance of Micro, Small and Medium En...Dr. Amarjeet Singh
Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are an indispensable part of the Indian economy. In terms of Gross Value Added (GVA) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP), MSMEs accounted for about 33% and 31% of India's GVA and GDP, respectively, in the year 2019-20. Unlike large enterprises that are concentrated in the metros, MSMEs are spread across smaller and larger rural as well as urban centres of India. They are also the biggest source of employment, especially in rural India, and contribute to the rural development and industrialisation. MSMEs also act as a great social bridge as smaller enterprises are owned by socially backward classes and women than are larger enterprises. For these reasons and more, the India government has always promoted the growth and development of MSMEs through policy initiatives, technology up gradation, and via other means. Consequently, MSMEs have also grown in multi-folds in the past decades in terms of the number of enterprises in operation and the collective revenue of the sector. Several challenges affect the growth of MSMEs, however. One of these is the limited academic studies into the financial performance of MSMEs, probably due to the unavailability of adequate data. The present research attempts to fill this gap by conducting a financial performance evaluation of 51 sample MSMEs based in the district of Nanded, Maharashtra. The research utilizes Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to compare the financial performance of sample MSMEs selectively using the suitable variables identified by Arasu et al. (2021). Findings suggest sharp differences in the financial performance of sample units. Inefficient units are suggested to improve their return on asset, return on capital employed, and net profit margin.
The profitability of commercial banks is influenced by a number of internal and external factors. This paper attempts to identify the internal factors which significantly influence the profitability of commercial banks in Bangladesh. In this study, profitability is measured by ROA and ROE which may be significantly influenced by the internal factors such as IRS, NIM, CAR, CR, DG, LD, CTI and SIZE of the bank. Data are collected from published annual reports during 2014--2018 of 23 commercial banks. Using simple regression model, it is found that CR has significant effect on the profitability and CAR has significant influence on ROA only. In addition to this, DG has significant effects on PCBs’ profitability (ROE only) where as IRS and CTI have significant influence on profitability (ROA only) of ICBs. Further, none of these variables have significant effects on the profitability of SCBs but CAR and CR are correlated with profitability (ROA only) and the causes may be the nature of services provided by SCBs to its clients. The internal policy makers should manage the influential internal factors of the banks in order to increase their profitability so that they can meet stakeholders’ expectations.

Corporate governance is of great importance for financial performance. Corporate governance issues have attracted public interest in the financial sector both locally and internationally after waves of corporate rip-offs and failures that almost led to loss of confidence in the finance sector. The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of corporate governance on financial performance of Savings and Credit Co-operatives in Kenya. The study adopted a descriptive research design. The study targeted a population of 65 active Savings and credit Co-operatives operating in Embu County. A sample size of 57 Savings and Credit Co-operatives was used in this study. Stratified sampling technique was used to select the sample. Primary data was collected using self-administered semi-structured questionnaires while secondary data was obtained from financial statements and periodicals using a record survey sheet. Pre-testing of research tool was conducted before the actual data collection was carried, to determine the reliability of the questionnaire by use of a Cronbach‘s alpha, statistical coefficient, while the validity was tested to ensure that the questions in the questionnaire provides adequate coverage to the investigative questions. Correlation and multiple regression analysis was used to establish the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The study findings indicated that corporate governance positively affected the financial performance. In specific the board composition and corporate risk management for SACCOs had a positive effect on the financial performances of the SACCOs. The study is beneficial to SACCOs management in improving the performance of Savings and Credit Co-operatives and enabling them to compete globally. The study recommends gender parity consideration and balanced mix of skilled board members during appointments of the board members. The recommendations are important to the government, especially the department of cooperatives in strengthening policies regarding cooperative societies.

Characteristics of Nigerian Deposit Money Banks and Their Financial Outcomeijtsrd
The purpose of this research was to examine the connections between DMB profitability and various company characteristics in Nigeria. This study used panel data regression to evaluate five hypotheses on how market share, liquidity, credit risk, interest rate spread, and leverage affect bank profitability. Secondary data was gathered from the financial statements of the 19 deposit money banks listed on the international and local markets of the Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE between 2012 and 2021. The success of Nigerian banks is strongly influenced by their market share, liquidity, interest rate spread, and leverage. There was a connection between credit risk and ROA, however it was weak and not statistically significant. The report recommended that the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN create policies to enable banks increase their market share, rather than seeking to limit the number of firms in the banking sector. The Intellectual Capital and their Influence on the Financial Performance of ...IJAEMSJORNAL
Using value-added intellectual coefficient (VAIC) methodology, the present study was carried out in order to investigate intellectual capital (IC) performance of private banks located in Erbil and examine the influence of IC on the financial performance of those banks. In so doing, IC components affecting the traditional indices of bank success were specified. The study focused on 1 private bank operating in Erbil in 2017, and the results indicated that they had a low IC performance which was figured out to be positively associated with bank financial performance indicators. An Empirical Analysis on the Nature of Relationship between Capital Structure...iosrjce
The financing decision with regard to capital structure theory of finance has been a topic of many
theories and their conflicting output for past many years. This paper aims to analyse the nature of relationship
between the capital structure of a firm and its performance. The data of 40 firms excluding financial services
firms listed on Nifty indices on National Stock Exchange is studied (The composition of 50 firms on Nifty
represents a well branch out index reflecting precisely the overall market conditions). Financial services firms
have been excluded from purview of this paper, as they are in the business of collecting money and investing in
financial assets rather than producing goods, hence follow a unique business valuation model. Further financial
services sector being one of the most sensitive sectors. This paper analyzes a period of 13 years (2001-2014)
covering the phases of a business cycle starting from boom (2001/02-2006/07), recession (2007/08-2008/09)
and then recovery (2009/10-2013/14). The complete business cycle will aid to demonstrate the results more
accurately. This paper also surveys the topical developments in the empirical capital structure research. The
data for a period of 13 years is analysed using descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression
techniques. For research purpose, the ratios such as debt-equity ratio, debt-asset ratio and long term debt are
taken as independent variables whereas Net Profit, Net Profit Margin, ROCE, ROE and ROA are the ratios
taken as dependent variables.
Study of the Static Trade-Off Theory determinants vis-à-vis Capital Structure...inventionjournals
This paper investigates the application of the Static Trade-Off theory regarding the capital structure of the Pakistani Chemical Industry. We have used panel data analysis for the sample of 31 listed chemical firms from the period 2005 to 2013. The study is unique in its type as unlike to Shah & Hijazi (2005) who studied many industrial sections, this study only focuses on the listed Chemical Firms. We used five independent variables such as Profitability (P), Tangibility (T), Liquidity (L), Firm Size (FS) and Total Assets Growth (TAG) to study the effect on independent variable Financial Leverage (FG). The results confirmed the relationship of Profitability, Liquidity and Firm Size. However the results were not confirmed for Tangibility and Firm Assets Growth. Even though the results for Tangibility were positive, however the significance of the coefficients failed to support the hypothesis. This study hold a unique position for researchers for future research and also has significance for the investors helping them to make wise investment decisions when investing in Pakistani Chemical Industry since this industry holds a major portion of industrial GDP of the country

Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Earnings Management ...ijtsrd
The relationship between corporate social responsibility CSR and earnings management EM is an extensive empirical study. However, the evidence on the nature of the relationship is unclear. A commonly defined reason for divergent and contradictory results is measurement issues. The purpose of this article is to evaluate alternative operation and measurement methods applied to the CSR and EM concepts in the empirical literature on CSR EM relationships. Our systematized appraisal was conducted over the last nine years from 2008 to 2016. This study has come to different observations. First, CSR measurement methods include sustainability indexes, content analyzes and single dimensional measurements, while EM measurement methods include discretionary accruals, discretionary loan loss provisions, real earnings management, abnormal earnings management, earnings persistence and earnings smoothing. In addition to the unique drawbacks of the approach, the subjectivity of the researcher and the selection anomalies that may influence the nature of the CSR EM relationships identified in the empirical literature. Finally, possible ways of overcoming these disadvantages are recommended. The Statutory Interpretation of Renewable Energy Based on Syllogism of Britis...AI Publications
The current production for energy consumption generates harmful impacts of carbon dioxide to the environment causing instability to sustainable development goals. The constitutional reforms of British Government serve to be an important means of resolving any encountered incompatibilities to political environment. This study aims to evaluate green economy using developed equation for renewable energy towards political polarization of corporate governance. The Kano Model Assessment is used to measure the equivalency of 1970 Patents Act to UK Intellectual Property tabulating the criteria for the fulfillment of sustainable development goals in respect to the environment, artificial intelligence, and dynamic dichotomy of administrative agencies and presidential restriction, as statutory interpretation development to renewable energy. The constitutional forms of British government satisfy the sustainable development goals needed to fight climate change, advocate healthy ecosystem, promote leadership of magnates, and delegate responsibilities towards green economy. The presidential partisanship must be observed to delineate parties of concerns and execute the government prescriptions in equivalence to the dichotomous relationship of technology and the environment in fulfilling the rights and privileges of all citizens. Hence, the political elites can execute corporate governance towards sustainable development of renewable energy promoting environmental parks and zero emission target of carbon dioxide discharges. The economic theory developed in statutory interpretation for renewable energy serves as a tool to reduce detrimental impacts of carbon dioxide to the environment, mitigate climate change, and produce artefacts of bioenergy and artificial intelligence promoting sustainable development. It is suggested to explore other vulnerabilities of artificial intelligence to prosper economic success.

Analysis of Value Chain of Cow Milk: The Case of Itang Special Woreda, Gambel...AI Publications
Ethiopia has a long and rich history of dairy farming, which was mostly carried out by small and marginal farmers who raised cattle, camels, goats, and sheep, among other species, for milk. Finding the Itang Special Woreda cow milk value chain is the study's main goal. In order to gather primary data, 204 smallholder dairy farmer households were randomly selected, and the market concentration ratio was calculated using 20 traders. Descriptive statistics, econometric models, and rank analysis were used to achieve the above specified goals. Out of all the participants in the milk value chain, producers, cafés, hotels, and dairy cooperatives had the largest gross marketing margins, accounting for 100% of the consumer price in channels I and II, 55% in channels III and V, and 25.5% in channels V. The number of children under five, the number of milking cows owned, the amount of money from non-dairy sources, the frequency of extension service contacts, the amount of milk produced each day, and the availability of market information were found to have an impact on smallholders' involvement in the milk market. Numerous obstacles also limited the amount of milk produced and marketed. The poll claims that general health issues, sickness, predators, and a lack of veterinary care are plaguing farmers. In order to address the issue of milk perishability, the researchers recommended the host community and organization to construct an agro milk processor, renovate the dairy cooperative in the study region, and restructure the current conventional marketing to lower the transaction and cost of milk marketing.
Minds and Machines: Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Investment Decisions ...AI Publications
In the evolving landscape of financial decision-making, this study delves into the intricate relationships among Emotional Intelligence (EI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Investment Decisions (ID). By scrutinizing the direct influence of human emotional intelligence on investment choices and elucidating the mediating role of AI in this process, our research seeks to unravel the complex interplay between minds and machines. Through empirical analysis, we reveal that EI not only directly impacts ID but also exerts its influence indirectly through AI-mediated pathways. The findings underscore the pivotal role of emotional awareness in investor decision-making, augmented by the technological capabilities of AI. It suggests that most investors are influenced by the identified emotional intelligence when making investment decisions. Furthermore, AI substantially impacts investors' decision-making process when it comes to investing; nevertheless, AI partially mediates the relationship between emotional intelligence and investment decisions. This nuanced understanding provides valuable insights for financial practitioners, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the need for holistic strategies that integrate emotional and technological dimensions in navigating the intricacies of modern investment landscapes. As the synergy between human intuition and artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integral to financial decision-making, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the symbiotic relationship between minds and machines in investments.0
Bronchopulmonary cancers are common cancers with a poor prognosis. It is the leading cause of death by cancer in Algeria and in the world. Behind this unfavorable prognosis hides numerous disparities according to age, sex, and exposure to risk factors, ranking 4th among incident cancers and developing countries including Algeria, all sexes combined. It ranks 2nd cancers in men and 3rd among women. Whatever the age observed, the incidence of this cancer is higher in men than in women, however the gap is narrowing to the detriment of the latter. The results of scientific research agree to relate trends in incidence and mortality rates to tobacco consumption, including passive smoking. Furthermore, other risk factors are mentioned such as exposure to asbestos in the workplace or to radon for the general population, or even genetic predisposition. However, the weight of these etiological and/or predisposing factors is in no way comparable to that of tobacco in the genesis of lung cancer and the resulting mortality. We provide a literature review in our article on the descriptive and analytical epidemiology of lung cancer.

Growth, Yield and Economic Advantage of Onion (Allium cepa L.) Varieties in R...AI Publications
Haphazard and low soil fertility, low yielding verities and poor agronomic practices are among the major factors constraining onion production in the central rift valley of Ethiopia. Therefore, a field experiment was conducted in East Showa Zone of Adami Tulu Jido Combolcha district in central rift valley areas at ziway from October 2021 to April 2022 to identify appropriate rate of NPSB fertilizer and planting pattern of onion varieties. The experiment was laid out in split plot design of factorial arrangement in three replications. The main effect of NPSB blended fertilizer rates and varieties (red coach and red king) significantly (p<0.01) influenced plant height, leaf length, leaf diameter, leaf number and fresh leaf weight, shoot dry matter per plant, and harvest index. Total dry biomass, bulb diameter, neck diameter, average fresh bulb weight, bulb dry matter, marketable bulb yield, and total bulb yield were significantly (p<0.01) influenced only by the main effect of NPSB blended fertilizer rates. In addition, unmarketable bulb yield was statistically significantly affected (p≥0.05) by the blended fertilizer rates and planting pattern. Moreover, days to 90% maturity of onion was affected by the main factor of NPSB fertilizer rate, variety and planting pattern. The non-fertilized plants in the control treatment were inferior in all parameters except unmarketable bulb yield and harvest index. Significantly higher marketable bulb yield (41 t ha-1) and total bulb yield (41.33 t ha-1) was recorded from 300 kg ha-1 NPSB blended fertilizer rate applied. Double row planting method and hybrid red coach onion variety had also gave higher growth and yields. The study revealed that the highest net benefit of Birr, 878,894 with lest cost of Birr 148,006 by the combinations of 150 kg blended NPSB ha-1 with double row planting method (40cm*20cm*7cm) and red coach variety which can be recommendable for higher marketable bulb yield and economic return of hybrid onion for small scale farmers in the study area. Also, for resource full producers (investors), highest net benefit of Birr 1,205,372 with higher cost (159,628 Birr) by application of 300 kg NPSB ha-1 is recommended as a second option. However, the research should be replicated both in season and areas to more verify the recommendations.

An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

a company's funding needs as well as the conditions that
exist at the moment (Anwar & Shukur, 2015). These
theories have been tested in a variety of studies in order to
better explain the funding decision, and the results have
been mixed, resulting in a majority with a few significant
differences in how a company decides on its intellectual
resources (Anwar, 2017). The gap between theory and fact
is still widening, and we need a better understanding.
Many of the factors that have an impact on the capital
market of developing countries, according to Kitonga,
(2017), do not have statistical relevance that helps to
understand the funding choices of the least developed
countries. This has resulted in a multi-resolution study of
the financing, with a plethora of factors impacting the
company and its directors, making it hard to pinpoint a
single factor responsible for understanding the financing
decision, making it far more difficult to comprehend. As
can be shown, the function in heterogeneity of experience
between managers and investors affects financing
decisions; this divergence in financial literature is
responsible for the difference in financing decisions (Ali,
2021).
II. LITERАTURE REVIEW
This study will outline several studies exploring the impact
of the capital system on business operations. Some
research indicate a positive relationship between
intellectual capital and firm results, while others show a
negative relationship between these two variables. Anwar
and Balcioglu (2016) looked at how businesses invested in
education over time (2010-2016). The aim of this project is
to determine how the financial system affects the
competitiveness and valuation of businesses. Companies
who chose an intellectual capital approach increased their
market value, according to the report. Dohamid & Luddin,
(2020), looked at 12 chemical companies listed on the
Stock Exchange between 2009 and 2013. They used
correlation analysis and regression to study the
relationship between the company's Intellectual capital and
financial performance in the statistical analysis, and
discovered that asset sales were variable. The results of the
analysis revealed that there is a positive relationship
between return on assets and transition, which has a
negative impact on ROA. Anwar and Shukur (2015),
shareholder companies in Pakistan's textile sector at the
time of the study (2011-2014). The aim of the thesis was to
figure out how capital composition affects financial
performance. The paper showed that intellectual capital
and shareholder have a positive relationship. For the time
period in question, (Demir et al. 2020) took a sample of 6
financial services firms listed on the Stock Exchange
(2015- 2019). The relationship between production and
intellectual capital was studied using correlation
coefficient regression (Anwar & Abd Zebari, 2015). The
study's results showed that the calculation was statistically
significant in almost every company's equity return and
equity debt relationship. It also discovered a statistically
significant negative relationship between return on equity
and debt-to-asset ratio. Ali (2021) investigated the impact
of intellectual capital on bank performance between 2014
and 2020. The relationship between intellectual capital and
the performance of banking models was approximated
using multiple regression (Scott & Perez-Diaz, 2021).
Asset returns, equity returns, and equity returns were used
to measure performance, and intellectual capital
determinants included long-term capital debt and a total
debt-to-capital ratio of net debt to capital. The study
discovered a clear link between the capital determinant
structure and the banking industry's success. Centered on
the time period (2014-2015) for companies listed in
manufacturing firms, Anwar & Shukur (2015). The main
goal of this investigation was to determine the connection
between capital structure and business performance. To
analyze data from annual reports for the same period,
correlation and regression are used (Anwar & Surarchith,
2015). The results showed that the return on equity, net
profit, and gross profit, as well as the return on assets, have
no consistent debt relationship, that the gross profit margin
and return on equity are mainly related to the debt assets to
Intellectual capital ratio, and that Intellectual capital has a
significant impact on total profit and return on equity.
(Andavar & Ali, 2020) looked at a number of banks that
were listed on the Stock Exchange between 2015 and
2019. Its aim was to investigate the impact of intellectual
capital on outcomes. It used panel results, fixed and
random effect models, and a method to test the study'
hypotheses. The findings revealed that, as measured by
return on assets, return on equity, and earnings per share of
net profits, intellectual capital, as determined by assets
liabilities, has a positive and statistically significant effect
on Jordanian banks. In terms of land rights in relation to
assets, the findings revealed a favorable effect and a
significant return on assets, as well as an unfavorable and
statistically significant impact on both earnings per share
of net profit and return on equity, despite the fact that the
size of the bank has a statistically positive impact on bank
profitability. (Viitala et al. 2017) looked at the effect of
intellectual capital on the financial output of 85 companies
in the capital city of the century (2014 - 2019). According
to the research, the capital system has a positive effect on
financial performance as measured by equity profits.
Meanwhile, return on investment has a negative impact on
net profit earnings per share. Anwar, (2017), investigated

the impact of intellectual capital on Indian bank success
over time (2008-2012). He investigated the relationship
between the variables using regression analysis, with the
results revealing a positive relationship between short-term
debt and profitability as measured by return on equity.
Anwar and Ghafoor (2017) conducted a survey of
businesses over a two-year period (2012-2014). The aim of
the study was to determine the effect of intellectual capital
on a firm's success, and the results of the statistical
analysis revealed a negative relationship between financial
leverage and the firm's output (Yardan & Aydin, 2018).
Researchers used multiple regressions on performance
indicators including asset returns and profit margin
estimation, short-term debt to total assets, long-term debt
to total assets, and total equity Intellectual capital variables
to determine the impact of the capital structure on the
performance of manufacturing firms (Ali, 2021). The
results revealed a statistically significant negative
relationship between short-term debt and overall assets,
yield on assets, operating margin, and total debt. The
results showed that all three iterations of the capital
structure, current liabilities for total assets, long-term total
assets and liabilities, total liabilities for total assets,
unfavorable effects on income before interest and taxes,
return on assets, earnings per share, and net profit margins,
all had unfavorable effects on profits before interest and
taxation, return on assets, earnings per share, and net profit
margins (Nyong’a & Maina, 2019). Multiple linear
regressions were used by Anwar, (2016) to assess the
effect of intellectual capital on the financial performance
of Palestinian financial institutions. The report concluded
that net equity deposits and yield on investment provided a
good and significant return on impact asset rights and bank
stock valuation. Loans to deposits and loans to savings, on
the other hand, have had little effect on the banks' financial
performance (Abdullah et al. 2017). Via a correlation
analysis and regression of financial statements, Javed,
Andavar, and Ali, (2020), based on shares, investigate the
relationship between Intellectual capital and profitability.
According to the study's results, there is a positive
relationship between financial leverage, financial
performance, and company size. Mubarak & Yusoff,
(2019) used the CT time series slope data to assess the
relationship between intellectual capital and financial
performance of listed banks over the period 2016-2018.
Financial leverage, as measured by gross loan entitlements
to owners and short-term debt, has a negative and
statistically significant impact on bank financial
performance as measured by assets revenue and equity
profits, according to the report. Anwar (2016) conducted a
firm survey at the time in question (2012-2015). The
study's aim was to improve operational performance by
choosing the best intellectual resources while minimizing
risk. The results showed that when a company has leverage
over intellectual resources, output is rationalized and the
return on equity rises. Anwar, (2017) examined the best
Intellectual capital in companies over a five-year span
using annual data. The data revealed that a firm's turnover,
scale, age, and asset size were all positively related to its
performance. Meanwhile, real assets and ROA as a
performance measure have a clear negative correlation. Ali
(2020) examined the impact of labor resource management
policies on the viability and valuation of Jordanian
businesses. With a measure of demand and profitability, he
observed a positive relationship between rising economic
and business size and growing earnings. The findings
show that a company's value and long-term viability have
a positive impact on conservative investment policies.
They discovered a close connection between profitability
and short-term debt to total assets, as well as long-term
debt to total assets. Hameed & Anwar, (2018) looked into
the relationship between intellectual capital and
construction company progress over time (2015 to 2020).
The mathematical analysis of the research parameters
revealed a connection between capital configuration and
performance. Anwar & Ghafoor, (2017) published a study
on intellectual capital and its effect on the financial
performance of businesses. The results revealed a negative
relationship between a company's intellectual capital and
its financial performance. Anwar and Shukur (2015)
investigated the effect of working capital management on
profitability on the Stock Exchange. It confirmed that
capital management is one of the most significant
determinants of a company's stock valuation because it has
a direct impact on the company's viability. As a result,
companies will maintain a fragile equilibrium. As the
problem relates to the preservation of intellectual
resources, there is a trade-off between profitability and
risk. To evaluate these findings, the analysis used data
processing techniques. Abdullah et al. (2017) looked at
businesses over time (2015-2017) to see if there was a
connection between working capital management and
profitability (Anwar & Climis, 2017). They came to the
conclusion that there was a negative relationship between
variables in working capital management. These
companies' financial managers will boost the shareholder
value (M’Mugambi et al. 2021).
III. INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL
There are several options in the financial reporting
literature for expressing the size of a company's net assets,
annual sales, revenue, and the size of the overall
employment of employees, in accordance with the scale of
4. Bayad Jamal Ali et al. International journal of Engineering, Business and Management (IJEBM)

the company's net assets, annual sales, income, and the
size of the overall jobs of employees, in accordance with
the scale of the company's net assets, annual sales, income,
and the size (Jabbar & Hussein, 2017). The company's
value will be calculated using the standard logarithm of its
total assets. The significance of the organization's size,
which is regarded as one of the most significant
determinants of intellectual capital. As a result, the bigger
the institution's scale, the more diverse and less fluctuating
its annual profits would be, reducing the financial
obligations associated with them and improving their
ability to tolerate a high proportion of debt in oversized
companies with lower Intellectual capital (Anwar & Qadir,
2017). As a result, the TOT hypothesis sees a positive
association between business size and the proportion of
leverage in Intellectual capital. The number of years since
the organization's inception and results of its tasks can be
used to calculate the company's age. It can be defined as
the normal logarithm of the number of years, according to
Tikkanen, (2020), since many academics believe that if a
firm is only one year older, it is more important for its
credibility as an indicator of the firm's durability and,
therefore, its ability to collect debts. Meanwhile, POT
believes there is an inverse relationship between the age of
a company and its level of leverage (Anwar & Louis,
2017). In new businesses, the knowledge gap is high,
allowing companies to choose less risky sources of
funding for the information gap, such as borrowing funds
(Ali& Anwar, 2021 ). The company's profitability can be
determined by calculating a return on assets, which is
defined as net income before taxes divided by total assets.
Since the firm's earnings have a direct impact on the
company's financial risk, this metric is the most common
in studies that have tested the variables that shape
Intellectual capital and the importance of that aspect, since
the more successful the company is, the less likely it is to
default, which means an increase in borrowing potential
and therefore an increase in its capacity to gain tax
savings. On the other hand, a company's output would be
better if it can finance its operations and increase its
revenue, making it less dependent on foreign sources of
funding, since a company that earns a lot of money has the
most borrowing potential and can take advantage of tax
benefits from borrowing (Hameed & Anwar, 2018). The
TOT hypothesis implies a positive relationship between a
company's profits and its debt share in its financial
structure. Meanwhile, according to the POT theory,
businesses that make substantial profits would benefit
from these profits by using them to finance their ventures
without the need for additional financial capital (Abdullah
& Anwar, 2021). It also suggests that the company's output
is inversely proportional to the proportion of leverage in its
Intellectual resources. The liquidity ratio, which is
calculated by converting current assets into total assets,
may be used to measure the firm's liquidity (Mardones &
Cuneo, 2020). For the purposes of this study, it will be
focused on the liquidity ratio reported by the companies in
their financial statements, as well as the importance of this
factor in the general law set out in the financial
management literature. If the company's uncertainties
decrease, its liquidity increases. As a result, TOT contends
that there is a direct connection between the firm's
liquidity and its debt, while POT maintains that the firm
has the strong liquidity it requires to fund and would not
need to borrow to meet its needs (Khanh et al. 2020). It
also means a negative relationship between the company's
liquidity and the amount of leverage in its intellectual
resources. According to Anwar (2017), the percentage of
fixed tangible assets can be calculated by dividing fixed
assets by total assets. The rise in the ratio of tangible
capital assets in the company leads to an increase in value,
so this factor plays an important role in the decision to
finance the business (Alayoubi et al. 2020). Liquidation of
the company, which is used to improve the company's
negotiating position for credit and low prices, since
tangible fixed assets hold their value better than intangible
assets, which are liquidated (Castellanos & George, 2020).
IV. METHOD
The study was carried out in Erbil's private hospitals. The
researchers used a quantitative approach to assess the
effect of Intellectual capital (Human capital, Structural
capital, and Relational capital) on long-term competitive
advantage in private hospitals in Iraq's Kurdistan region. A
questionnaire was used to assess the current thesis. Sample
design refers to the methodology or method that the
researcher is willing to consider in selecting items for the
survey. The research sample was selected using a random
sampling method and conducted in various locations
across Iraq's Kurdistan province. A total of 110
questionnaires were distributed, but only 92 people
correctly completed them. To investigate the impact of
Intellectual capital (Human capital, Structural capital, and
Relational capital) on long-term competitive advantage in
private hospitals in Iraq's Kurdistan region. On a five-point
scale ranging from unimportant to extremely important,
participants were asked to rate the importance of each
item.

V. FINDINGS
The current research focused on assessing the impact of
Intellectual capital(Human capital, Structural capital, and
Relational capital) to measure the influence on business
value creation. In order to measure Intellectual capitalas
Intangible resources for value creation, the researchers set
three independent variables as intellectual capital
dimensions, theses variables are (Human capital, Structural
capital, and Relational capital) on the other hand value
creation. The researchers applied simple regression
analysis to measure the influence of each independent
variable separately on value creation as private hospitalsin

Regression analysis is the study of interactions between
variables. Y=f(x1,x2,...Xc) The aim of regression analysis
is to determine how Y can affect and alter X. The
relational capitalis treated as an independent variable in
this section, while value creation is treated as a dependent
variable. The volatility of a comparative advantage will be
used to calculate its total difference. The variations are
determined by calculating the sum of the squares of the
expected competitive advantage values by the overall
mean divided by the number of participants. After dividing
the variance by the overall variance of comparative
benefit, the researcher discovered the sum or percentage of
total differences or variances that are compensated for
using regression analysis. The number can range from 0 to
1 and is defined by R Square. The value of R square
=.521as seen in Table (13), indicating that 52 percent of
total variation has been clarified.

VI. CONCLUSION
Using a sample of 92 patients, this study looked into the
impact of intellectual capital on the efficiency of private
hospitals. The company's profitability can be determined
by calculating a return on assets, which is defined as net
income before taxes divided by total assets. Since the
firm's earnings have a direct impact on the company's
financial risk, this metric is the most common in studies
that have tested the variables that shape Intellectual capital
and the importance of that aspect, since the more

successful the company is, the less likely it is to default,
which means an increase in borrowing potential and
therefore an increase in its capacity to gain tax savings. On
the other hand, a company's output would be better if it can
fund its operations and revenue growth, and therefore be
less dependent on foreign sources of funding, since a
company with a large income has the most borrowing
potential and can take advantage of tax benefits from
borrowing. The findings revealed that the most effective
relationship with value development was between human
capital as an element of Intellectual capital, while the least
effective relationship was between ownership as an
element of Intellectual capital. Furthermore, our findings
indicate that finance managers should use debts as a last
resort in terms of intellectual capital. Finally, our research
can be improved by using more controlled variables, a
greater sample size, and data from a longer time span in
the regression models. Other methods and steps can be
used as well.
