the films?
Cockney vs Zombies
$109,518
Avatar
$2.7 billion
6. How well known are the production companies for
both the high-budget and low-budget film?
Cockneys vs Zombies
• The production companies are
not any of the big six so not very
well know small time films, none
of them have done many if any
other films.
Avatar
Twentieth Century Fox are one of
the Big Six, a very well known
production company.
7. List the differences between the high-budget film
and the low-budget film in terms of the
institutions.
• Avatar had a few institutions working with it which most likely all had a
high amount of workers for each studio where as Cockneys vs Zombies
still had a few companies but they would have been much small
companies with less people working for the film.
8. List any similarities that exist between the high-
budget film and the low-budget film in terms of
the institutions
• The similarities would be that both films would be getting there
budget from these institutions and they are working for the films.

company made?
Cockneys vs Zombies
• Molinare – has been involved
with The Grand Budapest Hotel

all their low budget films seem
to be action and sometime
action horror.

predict them to make lots of
money.

Gone Girl ( Mystery, Thriller)
How to Train your Dragon
(Animation, family, fantasy, comedy)
11. What audiences do each of the institutions aim to
appeal to? Is this reflected through their film
choice, or does this vary?
Tea Shop & Film company
All of their films revolve around
the genre of Action, maybe with
Horror, sci-fi or comedy twists to
it. So by sticking to a genre they
are aiming to appeal to the same
audience each time.
Twentieth Century Fox
Such a big name that control s the
industry can choose whatever
films they want not specifically
sticking to a type so they appeal
to all audiences depending on the
film.
12. Which institution do you feel outperforms the
other and could claim to be more successful,
considering your research? Explain your reasons.
• Well Twentieth century ox is obviously a more powerful film and out
performs the indie film company's in business by miles, they have
control over the industry, can choose any film to work with and
make tonnes of money from every film but in terms of the amount
of work they put into film I would say a smaller institution works
harder because they are smaller they have less people to spread the
work load across and they also would put their all into a film to try
and make it there best every time where as Twentieth Century
would just chuck another film out over and over again.
