Livelihood Security Initiatives
The College organises various livelihood
related activities in the adopted village for
the benefit of the local communities.
These livelihood activities are initiated
keeping in mind the resources available
with the communities for the pursuance
and continuation of the activity for its
effectiveness. Within this, other activities
like cattle vaccination, etc. are also
undertaken.
11. Education
To make college education accessible and to motivate the students for
higher education, free education is provided to the girl students of the
adopted village.At the same time, the Departments of the college undertake
extension education classes in the feeder schools of the locality to enhance
the quality of education. Peer teaching by the students of the departments
are also regularly undertaken in these schools.Workshops for the high
school teachers on various aspects are also organised.
15. The college organises health check up in the college premises for the
neighbouring communities as well as in the adopted village where the
students actively participate. Special stress is laid on women health.
Awareness on COVID-19 was held in the neighbouring areas where
masks and sanitizers were also distributed. Other initiatives related to
health and sanitation are planned and executed like awareness
campaigns against drug abuse, alcoholism, etc.
20. Environmental Awareness
Extensive plantation drives are undertaken by the students of the college in
various localities.At the same time, cleanliness drive inside and outside the
college campus and in various villages are undertaken with the help of the
students.
26. Moral and Intellectual Development
The College organises different activities that involve
members of the local communities by organising inter-
school quiz competition schools of the locality, regional
level debate competition, story-telling competitions etc.
31. (Skilling for Resilience)
Skilling the young generation to meet the demands of the changing times
and increasing their employability in the job market is one of the major
concerns of education in the present times.With the gap between
education received and the requirements of the job market widening,
there has been increasing dearth of skilled student force that can be
recruited immediately after completion of education.

Speaking and Writing Skill Enhancement
Special emphasis is given to enhance the speaking and writing skills
of the students.This becomes a special necessity for the students
to build their confidence on language and communication skill so
as to improve their public speaking skills.

from time to time which can be
availed of by the students
enrolled in the regular courses
like beauty and wellness, yoga,
home gardening, etc. Such
courses are designed as capacity
building courses to add to their
skills.

Incubation Centre, an event named
‘Ideathon’ has been successfully
