2. Boxing workout/training
Narrative: For one of the scenes in our music video, we will be looking to show a
boxer training for a fight. The training will include the highs and lows of
preparing for boxing fight. This will show the boxer in a variety of emotional
states. For example, the beginning of this scene will show the boxer very
determined and dedicated to becoming a successful boxer. This will then be
contrasted by the mid-part of the narrative which depicts him struggling through
the hard gruel of his fitness programme. This will be added to by an injury to the
boxer who is distraught by the stunt in his training regime. By the end of this
aspect of the narrative, the boxer will be working hard in time with the music to
portray the successful and positive side of his training.
Location: Synwell boxing gym. A local boxing gym that shows the relevant
equipment for the boxer to train with as well as a ring.
Fashion: Hoodies and tracksuits that are typical of the boxing demographic. All
of which emphasise the high level of activity needed for a boxing workout.

3. Park workout
Narrative: To add to the training within the boxing gym, a workout in a public place
(shown on the right) will highlight the fact that he is willing to train in any location.
His training partner will be spurring him on to become stronger and quicker in his
combinations shots. Add to this the public side of the scene, it will therefore show
the boxer as even more dedicated. With the scene being in a public park, it will also
make the narrative far more intimate and real. This is true in the sense that it will not
look like a pre-set, like the performance, that has been made for the actors to
perform on.
Location: As described before, we will be going to a public park to shoot this scene.
Our most likely location is St George’s Park in Bristol. This will be suitable as it is a
park with lots of room yet still small enough to be able to show other people going
about their daily lives.
Fashion: Much like the first scene in the boxing gym, this one will show similar
clothing - such as tracksuits, hoodies and trainers. This will accentuate the physical
aspect of the activities that the boxer is taking part in. Moreover, there will be some
warmer clothing on show to exaggerate the fact that they are training outside.
Actors: Same as boxing gym scene. Extras will obviously be used in this public
location.

4. Running/Fitness Scene
Narrative: This is the scene that shows the boxer practicing and doing fitness routines,
this used to put more interesting locations in the music video as well as show the boxers
dedication and determination as this is a big part of our narrative of how the boxer is
determined. These scenes are a big part of showing how he is struggle and being
challenged by himself and how he overcomes the challenge.
Location: The location will be ranging from public locations such as sidewalks as well as
public roads for some moving shots of the boxer running. This gives us a range of shots
when editing and will give the video a good diversity in terms of location
Fashion: The boxer will be wearing basic fitness clothing such as a hoodie, sports trainers,
track-suit etc. This shows the athlete of the character and is important to make sure we
follow stereotypes that other boxing related films have used for fitness scenes. Eg. Creed
the main character wears a grey Adidas hoodie, this gives us an example of what we
should be aiming for.
Actors: The actors used in this scene will be the main character as well as the secondary
character in the narrative that being the trainer/partner of the boxer.

5. Performance
Narrative: The performance elements are used to show just the band performing.
This is important for the genre of music as most videos of this genre have
performance elements in the video so its important for our video to fit the genre.
Location: The location of this scene will be a dark set, with some creative lighting
to show the band. This location is similar to what other videos in this genre have
used as it makes the band seem to be in a dark room and this is present in the
lyrics as the music is very dark and normally contains dark themes which gives the
location a relation to the lyrics.
Fashion: The clothing of the band will be casual clothing, however all the clothing
will be black to again relate to the genre of music and the themes expressed in
the lyrics.
Actors: The actors used for this scene is a singer, guitarist, bass guitarist and a
drummer these are the characters in the video that will be seen as the members
of the band as they will be performing the music.
