1. Initial Ideas
Based upon the films, Hot Fuzz, The
Holy Grail, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide
to the Galaxy (among others)

2. Cinematography
• I would like plenty of close ups of my actors in the film when
responding to certain situations.
• I would also like a slightly awkwardly long establishing shot, inspired
by that of Hot Fuzz.
• The scene will have bright lighting.
• I hope to use pan movements within my film for comedic effect when
showing contrasts in expression.
• I would also like to use close ups of different objects as well.

3. Editing
• I would like to use fast editing for some
sequences in my film, similar to how this is
done in Hot Fuzz.

4. Mise En Scene
• All my characters will be uniformed to show how
they are linked and give a suggestion of the sort
of age they are.
• The setting of my film will be the same
classroom. This is similar to how one of the shot
films I studied all takes place in one location. It
also hints towards the situation the characters
are in.
• The ending of my film will be unexpected and
nonsensical, this is a link to The Holy Grail and
The Duel at Blood Creek short film.

5. Sound
• In terms of sound I can’t really show any images
for what I want to use.
• What is a commonly used thing in each of my
films and even shorts is the building up of tension
which leads to an anticlimax. This is heavily
helped along by dramatic music that comes to a
very sudden halt along with the anticlimax.
• On top of that, I also want to use comical sound
effects that are obviously not real in order to
hopefully get a laugh out of the audience.
