9. The Final Idea
How I got this idea: I had a short thriller story written which I
really liked. After my marketing research most of the people
voted for thriller being their favourite genre, so without
hesitation I proceeded to make this story appear on screens.
The idea of the story:
A girl disappears in a building. She couldn’t really go
anywhere, so her family is trying to find her. Unfortunately,
they do not succeed. This continuity sequence will have fast
pace and typical tense atmosphere for a thriller movie, with
shot/reverse cuts, suspenseful music, and more.
Evaluation
I chose this idea because not only I like it, but I also believe
I’d be able to create it nicely with the skills and tools I have
and own. It appears to me it could be relatively easy to
shoot it and that there’s a high possibility to do everything in
one day, although an amount of actors I’ll have to find might
be challenging. Though, I believe in myself and will continue
with this story as my choice. This is one of the cheapest
ideas, too, since I’ll have to film in a building. I will, however,
have to make sure I’m not bothering my neighbors
especially if I’ll be using staircases, corridors, or the garage.
Additionally, I’ll have to find out whether or not I’m allowed in
the building, even. For now, I feel like finding the actors will
be the most challenging aspect, as well as developing a
proper script with all of the scenes I have in my head.
