Food packaging is essentially packaging for food. It requires protection, tampering resistance, and special physical, chemical, or biological needs. It also shows the product that is labeled to show any nutrition information on the food being consumed.” Physical protection from shock, vibration etc. is necessary for the food product enclosed in the package. Other requirements include a ‘barrier’ to prevent the food product being contaminated by dust, water vapor etc. Desiccants are often used to prevent oxygen contamination.Apart from the huge value addition and employment involved in these activities, packaging has served the Indianeconomy by helping preservation of the quality and lengthening the shelf life of innumerable products.
The Indian food industry is poised for huge growth, increasing its contribution to world food trade every year. In India, the food sector has emerged as a high-growth and high-profit sector due to its immense potential for value addition, particularly within the food processing industry.

Agripreneurship Development as a Tool for Revitalizing the Agricultural Secto...ijtsrd
Over reliance on crude oil as a currency exchange has resulted in a steady decline in the performance of the agricultural sector, which was Nigerias mainstay before the oil boom of the 1970s. At present, the Nigerian economy continues to struggle to retain its title of Africas largest economy, with recent fluctuations in oil prices having negatively impacted the economy, reflected in the low standard of living and increased rise in the cost of goods and services. Scholars agree that the Nigerian economy should be diversified through agriculture and that agripreneurship could improve the nations current economic situation. Therefore, enhanced performance of the agricultural sector could lead to economic recovery and sustainable development. Despite the fact that many awareness programs, workshops, seminars and presentations have also been organized by private and governmental bodies and organizations, strategies and support systems have been created by the government at both the state and federal levels to improve the agricultural sector, but results are still pointing Recent studies indicate that the performance of the agricultural sector in Nigeria is poor. This indicates that perhaps agripreneurship has not really been embraced and there appear to be some bottlenecks or obstacles that are hampering the improvement in the performance of the countrys agricultural sector. Agriculture is still practiced at the subsistence level. Accordingly, the focus of this study is to examine agripreneurship development as a tool for revitalizing the Agricultural sector performance of the economy which will in turn lead to economic growth and development. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. Global agriculture has witnessed a complete metamorphosis in recent decades with the intrusion of
technologies and global participation. Agriculture remains the second-largest source of employment
worldwide after the services sector. The global value-added generated by agriculture, forestry, and

agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector in terms of value-added were China, India, and the United States
of America. Global food production will continue to rise so as to cater to the burgeoning world
population. In the backdrop of the world population expected to reach 10 billion by 2050, food supplies

This call for increased dependence on technology-dependent agriculture as the chances of increasing

Indian agriculture offers tremendous scope for Startups in
providing missing links in the agri-food value chain. And in
recent years, a large number of Startups have been launched
in India, and they are looking for new ideas, inspirations, and
support to scale to newer heights. In this context, ICFA is
hosting Agri Startups Conclave, as part of AgroWorld 2022

business linkages, synergies, connections, and partnership
opportunities.
Even after decreased contribution to GDP, agriculture still continues as a major livelihood provider
around the globe, especially in the developing world; and hence responsible for economic growth and
social transformation. Farmers, however, are facing a plethora of problems in developing countries and
there is a need for connecting them with the markets, technologies, trade, and global best practices and
th
transforming them from farmers to farm entrepreneurs. The 5 Global Agriculture Summit 2022 aims to
provide the platform for discussions on policies, trade and technologies, investments and market
opportunities. Towards this end, ICFA is bringing together eminent personalities of Indian and global
agriculture, food, and agribusiness sectors on one platform. The experience will be combined with the
