A brief presentation about Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Bahasa Indonesia (ID)
Teknologi telah berkembang. Cara kita bekerja, bermain bahkan belajar telah berubah. Begitupun mahasiswa di era industri 4.0 pada abad 21 ini. BERUBAH. IPK 4,2 saja tidaklah cukup. Harus memiliki soft skills yang dipentingkan di abad 21.
Presentasi ini ditujukan sebagai acuan sharing kepada peserta Hackathon Republic of IoT 2017. Mengenal bagaimana memilih karir dan juga kemampuan yang harus dimiliki di evolusi Industri 4.0 kedepannya.
Pembelajaran yang merespon era rovolusi industry 4.0 tersebut harus dijawab dengan cepat dan tepat agar tidak berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pengangguran. Tantangan industri 4.0, ancaman pengangguran, dan bonus demografi dengan fokus meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui pendidikan.
Revitalisasi sistem pembelajaran meliputi, 1) kurikulum dan pendidikan karakter, 2) bahan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, 3) kewirausahaan, 4) penyelarasan.

The actual impact of AI on business is in automating business processes and in creating the "AI Platform Business Revolution". Platform companies create value by facilitating exchanges between two or more groups. AI is central to these businesses for matchmaking between producers and consumers, organizing massive data flows, eliminating malicious content, providing empathetic personalization, and generating engagement through gamification. The platform structure creates moats which generate outsized sustainable profits. This is why platform businesses are now dominating the world economy. The top five companies by market cap, half of the unicorn startups, and most of the biggest IPOs and acquisitions are platforms. For example, the platform startup ByteDance is now worth $75 billion based on three simple AI technologies.
In this talk we survey the current state of AI and show how it will generate massive business value in coming years. A recent McKinsey study estimates that AI will likely create over 70 trillion dollars of value by 2030. Every business must carefully choose its AI strategy now in order to thrive over coming decades. We discuss the limitations of today's deep learning based systems and the "Software 2.0" infrastructure which has arisen to support it. We discuss the likely next steps in natural language, machine vision, machine learning, and robotic systems. We argue that the biggest impact will be created by systems which serve to engage, connect, and help individuals. There is an enormous opportunity to use this technology to create both social and business value.

all them cyborgs. Morgan Stanley is about to augment its 16,000 financial advisers with machine-learning
algorithms that suggest trades, take over routine tasks and send reminders when your birthday is near.
The project, known internally as “next best action,” shows how one of the world’s biggest brokerages
aims to upgrade its workforce while a growing number of firms roll out fully automated platforms called
robo-advisers. The thinking is that humans with algorithmic assistants will be a better solution for wealthy
families than mere software allocating assets for the masses.
At Morgan Stanley, algorithms will send employees multiple-choice recommendations based on things like
market changes and events in a client’s life, according to Jeff McMillan, chief analytics and data officer for
the bank’s wealth-management division. Phone, email and website interactions will be cataloged so
machine-learning programs can track and improve their suggestions over time to generate more business
with customers, he said.
“We’re desperately trying to pattern you and your behavior to delight you with something you may not
have even been asking for, but based on what you have been doing, that you might find of value,”
McMillan said in an interview. “We’re not trying to sell you, we’re trying to find the things you want and
need.”
Faced with competition from cheaper automated wealth-management services and higher expectations set
by pioneering firms like Uber Technologies Inc. and Amazon.com Inc., traditional brokerages are starting
to chart out their digital future. It turns out that the best hope human advisers have against robots is to
harness the same technologies that threaten their disruption: algorithms combined with big data and
machine learning.
