Order of your sketchbook and what to reflect on
• Title: Night Photography Still Life Object or Night Photography Landscapes
• Shooting plan – what you choose to photograph and WHY (sentimental object). Also include an image of the
set up of your home made studio
• Contact sheets – annotated and detailed which were used, and also if you used a combination of images
• Experimentation – how have your experimented on your images in Photoshop? Show a step by step process
for one image. Than for other images show the two or more images you layered and the final outcome.
Final images
4 images printed on photo paper correctly exposed (check your levels on Photoshop first).
Under/with each image reflected on the following:
• Technical settings you used and why. The relationship between ISO, shutter speed and aperture
• Technical problems or issues you faced and how you resolved them
• Composition – how you set your image up and why.
• Lighting – what type of lighting did you use and why – what mood and atmosphere does this create in the
image? Why?
• Concept – did the technical/lighting/compositional settings aid a concept you were trying to convey?
EXTENSION TASK
• Contextual understanding – add an artist reference that links to what you’ve shot, for example take screen
grabs from the videos shown in class and refer back to them and how you’ve made your work similar.
