This document provides information on the Indian National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). It was established in 1985 with objectives of being a major resource for research and publication on arts as well as promoting creative dialogue. The IGNCA conducts research, publications, seminars and exhibitions through various divisions such as Kalakosha for research and translation of Indian texts, Janapada Sampada for research on folk arts, Kaladarshana for showcasing different cultures, and a conservation unit for preserving materials. It also has regional centers across India and functions as a UNESCO nodal agency with digital archives and publications.
