This document provides information about aircraft carriers and submarines. It defines an aircraft carrier as a warship with a full flight deck and facilities for operating aircraft from the sea. It then classifies aircraft carriers by type, size, and propulsion. It also lists some countries with aircraft carriers. The document defines a submarine and discusses the first submarine built. It classifies submarines by function and propulsion type. It provides details on different types of submarines like SSN, SSBN, diesel-electric, and nuclear submarines. Finally, it lists some countries with the most submarines.
LCA Tejas, India's first indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) is a single engine powered multi-role jet fighter with tailless, compound delta wing design developed by DRDO

This presentation includes the details of super sonic technology. It also help you to understand the variant & launchers. A brief difference is indicated in the slides helping you to compare our level with other countries.
Air Combat History describes the main air combats and fighter aircraft, from the beginning of aviation. The additional Youtube links are an important part of the presentation. A list of Air-to-Air Missile from different countries. is also given

2. What is an
Aircraft Carrier ?
An aircraft
carrier is
a warship with a
full-length flight
deck and facilities
for carrying,
arming, deploying,
and recovering
aircraft, that
serves as a
seagoing airbase .
3. Classifications of Aircraft
CarriersBy Type :
1. STOBAR
2. CATOBAR
3. STOVL
By Size :
1. Escort Carrier
2. Light Aircraft
Carrier
3. Fleet Carrier
4. Super Carrier
By Propulsion :
1. Conventional
2. Nuclear
5. STOBAR –
Short Take Off But
Arrested Recovery
• Take off through
Ski Jump
• Landing through
Arrestor Cables
• Arrestor Hook
on each fighter
6. STOVL –
Short Take Off &
Vertical Landing
• Take-Off through Ski
Jump
• Vertical Landing
• Planes used must be
able to land vertically.
7. CATOBAR - Catapult-assisted take-
off but arrested-recovery
• Take Off
through Steam
Catapults
• Heavy
Fighters can
be used
• Landing
through
Arrestor
Cables
11. What is a SUBMARINE ?
• A submarine is
a watercraft
capable of
independent
operation
underwater.
12. World’s first Submarine
• Cornelis Drebbel , a
Dutchman build first
submarine named
“Drebbel”.
• It was made of Wood
and steel and could
carry one man .
• It was propelled with
pedals.
13. Classifications of Submarine
On basis of Function :
• SSN
• SSBN
On basis of Propulsion :
• Diesel Electric Submarines
• Diesel Electric Submarines with AIP
• Nuclear Submarines
14. SSN – Attack SUbmarine
• These
submarines have
short range
weapons and
equipment to
track and hunt
other submarines
or ships.
• They can be both
nuclear or
conventional.
15. SSBN – Ballistic Missile
Submarine
• These
submarines
consists of
Ballistic
missiles or
ICBMs. They
remain
hidden
below the
ocean and
are
stategically
used.
16. Diesel Electric Submarines
• There run on Diesel or
Gas turbines and
electric batteries.
• They can be with or
without AIP.
• They can remain 2-3
days submerged
without AIP.
17. Nuclear Submarines
• Nuclear submarines
run by using the
nuclear power
• They have a Nuclear
reactor on board.
• Their range is
unlimited.
