33. 2013 – Return to Nagpur, India with 3 bed
Ambulance for surgeries in the bush
Dear Mr. Usama, Jan. 16th 2013
Greetings from Rotary Club of Nagpur of both the projects are :-
Located in tribal areas so the ultimate benefeciaries are poor tribals.
The project cost is USD 23,500.00.
The project is located 65 Kms (40 miles) from Nagpur. It entails giving a Ambulance detailed as under :-
Go-Vigyan Anusnadhan Kendra (GVAK) a NGO established in the year 1996 and engaged in the manufacture of cow based medicinal
products. The objective of the Institution is development of medical awareness and hygiene in the rural and tribal areas. It has its
research centre in Devalpar a small village, 65 KM away from Nagpur. They regularly hold medical camps and awareness programs in
villages and tribal areas within the radius of 150 KM covering about 400 villages and population of about 4-5 lacs. These tribal and
rural areas lack in medical facilities and services on regular basis. They are largely dependant upon this NGO who regularly organizes
medical camps and awareness programs.
GVAK is a well known and reputed NGO. They have requested a grant of Rs. 1.26 million ( $ 23500) for the purchase of
medical ambulance to offer medical services and relief and to deal with medical urgency in rural and tribal area. The proposed
ambulance shall be utilized in these medical camps and awareness programs. The proposed vehicle is a three beded ambulance. It is like
a mini clinic to treat the tribals and villagers more effectively.
We have already done 2 MG projects with this organization in the last decade & half.
