An independent film is made outside of the Hollywood system, allowing the director to pursue their individual vision without studio interference. They use film festivals to garner attention and critical acclaim in order to secure distribution deals, as they do not have the marketing power of large studio films. film better, as they are able to use technological convergence in order for the film to
get recognised as the film is able to maximised profits.
